We stayed here for one night only as we were on a budget. This place was recommended by a colleague of mine as some place you would go to get away from things. It is in a remote part of Ireland and surrounded by some amazing scenery. The house itself was a bit old but had a very charming character... more

Beautiful location, great room, food and company from all over the world in a 5 star small guest house. A little off the beaten path if not a fisherman. Wouldn't pass it up. more

Stunning setting and you dont need to fish to appreciate it. Just standing on the bridge at 10pm on a summer night watching the salmon rise is a magical experience. Exceptionally comfortable bed and bathroom perfectly adequate. No other amenties in room - deliberately so. As the guide states, the lodge does not purport to be a hotel so no... more

There are many many many things that are special about Delphi Lodge. There is the scenery. There is the ambience of the place under the personal light handed touch of Peter Mantle. My partner loves the bedrooms - the chintz revolution thankfully never made it to here! There is the wonderful big table dinner each night where you can meet... more

We stayed in one of the cottages on the property and not in the main hotel lodge. The cottages must be rented for at least 3 nights and represent a good value for families. We had a two bedroom, one bath cottage, with kitchen, living/dining room. The cottage was comfortable and clean, although a little worn around the edges and... more

Spent 4 nights at the Delphi Lodge. Wonderful experience. Salmon Fishing was slow but caught some nice looking trout. Had room on 2nd floor overlooking the water and mountains. Breathtaking! Enjoyed the dinners, loved the large table and the lively chatter. Diverse group - folks from Ireland, US, France, Germany, Australia and Africa- young and old. Staff were exceptional. Would... more

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Delphi this month. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, which had a partial mountain view. We had a great comfy bed and nice shower/bath. The pressure had a few glitches at busy times, but not a major problem. There was a smell of food permeating the room in the mornings,... more

No prettier place on the planet Forget the fishing, if you manage to catch a sunny day in this spectacular setting you've reeled in one of the world's greatest prizes. There may be someplace more stunning, but I've yet to witness it. While set up originally as a fishing lodge, the Delphi also does an off-season trade in house party... more

For any fishing widows (or widowers) out there who might be apprehensive about staying in a fishing lodge in the wilds of Connemara - dont be! Delphi Lodge is magic. Armed with books and walking boots I accompanied my husband (the fisherman) for a week and was prepared to amuse myself and both get fit and catch up on my... more

Deliphi Lodge was such an amazing experience. The location is spectacular, nestled in a valley seemingly in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenery. The staff and service were superb. Very attentive to our needs - I felt welcomed and comforted like I was family. Fantastic 3 course meals, wine and an awesome snooker table. Fabulous guests... more
