Really nice, even though it rained throughout our stay. The view is fantastic particularly from the cosy bar and large dining room. Very nice staff, extremely helpful and considerate, all French though with v. poor English so don't expect a lot of local knowledge and no deep conversations if you're not Francophone. More

Nice place to stay, don't forget your food. However the place was a bit cold on the night we stayed. But the hotel is a very remote location, no mobile connection, poor wifi connection too. Another problem the continuous beep of the alarm... No walking paths nearby. Despite these remarks this is a place to go to remember how life... More

Hard to say which is the biggest selling point here: 1.The most spectacular location of any lodging we stayed in--Killary Fjord and surrounding mountains are right out the window. Or 2. the hands-down greatest bargain of our trip--60 euros a night for 5 of us (!) in a comfortable, clean and cheery room and charming building. The hostel felt more... More

Crossing the Connemara on foot, this busy place was a shock! Fully booked, so we had to use their camping place. Expensive, very wet, with nice view on their sewage water installation and flood light all night long. The showers and toilets for campers were very dirty and did not have warm water. Th only positive point: there is no... More

We stayed at this hostel in August and although the location is quite remote it was EXTREMELY busy with a lot of groups. However, the hostel was exceptionally well-run and there was no problem with noise at all, it was simply difficult at times to get into the kitchen as there was a lot of simultaneous activity going on in... Nice clean place with friendly staff. The bar’s pretty basic: €4 for a warm can of beer and no ice is pushing it a little, but it’s a friendly, efficient, clean hostel. More

Great hostel .staff were great, put us in private room (tiny surplus charge but worth it). We were an Irish group who liked to stay up late and not get up at 6am (as some other guests in the common dorm did on first night). Really informal, really clean, good atmosphere. Felt like we were on continent, not in Ireland... More

We love this hostel, our second time staying there and it lived up to our expectations. The staff are so friendly, all the facilities you need are there. The kids had a ball, loved the freedom of the place and loved being able to eat and get something from the kitchen whenever hungry! We were even given a bedroom right... More

Nice remote place therefore you need a car. Lots of private safe parking. It wasn't busy when we were there but we could hear every foot step and move the people above us made including a crying infant. The walls were paper thin as we could hear the man next door snoring most of the night. I can only imagine... More
