We went for Sunday Lunch at The Pelican with the family. The food was fantastic and the service was great. We thought it was reasonably priced and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and made us all feel very welcome. Would recommend seeking out this hidden Norfolk gem.

The Pelican staff know how to look after a pint of beer. All the ales (and lager - they have Peroni on draft) taste great as the lines are kept scrupulously clean. If you like a decent pint and some nice honest, well cooked, food then make a visit to this nice little pub. It is an unpretentious and hard-working... More

Had Saturday lunch with 3 friends. All our meals very good (maybe a little more meringue and a little less cream in the rhubarb mess?) but service not quite up to scratch for in such a good restaurant. And we realised after meal that there was a fixed price menu - we had not been offered this and felt 2... More

We visited for lunch with friends and had four in our party. Very pleasant surroundings and ambience and helpful and friendly staff. Three of us had the fixed price lunch menu at £12 for two courses and at £15 for three courses. We had a choice from the three course menu of chorizo salad ( soup was available) to start... More

We often go to the Pelican for a drink (i like their own Pelican ale) and have eaten here a couple of times too. We really enjoy coming here as there is always a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. They have an open log fire which has been a fantastic asset over this long winter, and makes the... More

We have eaten here a few times & each time we could not fault a single thing. Its in a quiet village, not far out of Norwich and has real rustic charm. Our most recent visit was lunch on Bank Holiday Monday with our toddler, I was really impressed with the menu, having only visited in the evening we thought... More

Welcoming log fire. Friendly waitresses. Good sized portions, not too much, not too little, Sunday lamb roast. Mint jelly seemed homemade and very sweet. Attractive surroundings - old tools on walls and boxing gloves. Brioche bread pudding scrumptious. Recommended.

We recently had Sunday lunch here, all four of us had the roast beef, really lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, our daughter asked to have her beef cooked a bit more as she's pregnant she can't eat undercooked meat. That was sorted out for her without any bother, the food was delicious, the portions were just right. We will... More
