We stayed 2 nights at this B&B in Doolin and were very satisfied with the place and with the value. It is about a 5 minute walk from the pubs in Doolin, and about a 20-25 minute walk from the port. Our room was small and had a private bath, although the bath was not connected to the room. Frank,... more

I stayed at the Doonmacfelim House for one night in September. Upon check-in, I received a full tour of the property by Frank, the owner, including several of the unoccupied rooms. I have stayed at both "budget"-type hotels and B&Bs all over Europe and in all honesty I can say that Doonmacfelim had some of the largest rooms I've ever... more

Doonmacfelim is in a great location, very close to the pubs and traditional music most tourists come for, and not far from the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, but I wouldn't stay there again. First, the positive: Our rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and good, though calling Frank a 'chef' is stretching it. But based... more

I happened upon this place while visiting Doolin in May '08 and stayed for a night. The accomodations are pretty basic but it was clean and inexpensive. The breakfast the following morning was adequate but not noteworthy. Also, the innkeep was a pleasant guy. It's location is pretty good. Within walking (5 minute) distance of the "lower" part of Doolin... more

My husband & I stayed in Doolin over the Christmas holidays and stayed at Doonmacfelim House mostly because everything else was closed. But we were quite satisfied with the large bedrooms, the access to the common room (where we watched "In the Name of the Father"), and the very large & tasty Irish breakfasts. I should repeat that the breakfasts... more

Have stayed here 3 times last time a few years ago. Great spot if you are going to Gus O'connors, its within walking distance. Frank and Majella are good owners and every thing is neat and clean. more

My wife I recently returned from Ireland. We stayed at 3 other B&B's (all in the same price category) besides Doonmacfelim. Simply put, we were very disapointed and would not recommend staying here. Unlike the other 3 B&B's we stayed at, this place is run-down (don't let their website photos fool you) and the owners are disinterested with their guests.... more

After traveling for 2 weeks through Ireland, staying at different B&B's every couple of days, I wouldn't leave my dog at Doonmcfelin. The owners are careless, sloppy, and uninterested in your stay. The house wasn't clean, the tennis court is junk yard for kids toys, and the room conditions were pitiful. Several lights were burnt out or not in working... more
