Stayed here for our second trip to Ireland together. We have stayed at many B&B's before but Killilagh House rises above the rest because of its charm, convenience and character. Brid & Mike went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. We will return many more times in the future. We love this place! more

I choose Killilagh House, on line, because of the nearness of the bus stop, right across the street. I was using the Open Road pass while traveling the West coast. Killilagh House one of the best. I asked Mike, Brid's husband, the best way to get to the pier to go to the Islands?. Mike gave me a ride right... more

My husband and I traveled in western Ireland for more than a week in May of this year. This was a second visit to Doolin for us. We were eager to return to Killilagh House and the warm reception we received two years ago. Brid and her husband have spruced up their b&b with fresh paint, new flooring, new and... more

We stayed at Killilagh house for two nights in March. As well as lucky with the weather, we were lucky with our choice of accommodation. You'll be surprised how many B&Bs and hostels there are in Doolin, for such a tiny little village. Looking back, I think we picked Killilagh because it offered one of the most competitive nightly rates... more

We stayed at Killilagh House in June 2008, we were on a driving holiday in Ireland with another couple and we all agreed it was a wonderful stay. Brid could not have been more helpful. The Lounge area was so cosy, that we enjoyed evening drinks there, before we hit the pubs for dinner. We left some items behind when... more

I cannot believe that someone has valued so severely this B&B and its owners: my wife and I have found a very clean, comfortable, roomy and warm accomodation; mrs Brid Shannon is a perfect host (and a wonderful cook) who made everyone feel at one's ease. We came back in Italy with only one regret: we couldn't remain there more... more

Owners claim there is hot water in showers, but we were not the only guests in the dining room complaining of cold showers. The owners are able to control hot water from a switch in the hall so that if you complain, they can take you back to the room, flip the switch, and prove you wrong. I believe that... more

My husband and I just got back from a 10 day trip to Ireland with our two teenage boys. We stayed 2 nights in Doolin at this B&B and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Brid Shannon and her staff are full of warmth and hospitality. The breakfast is tasty and varied, my youngest loved the eggs... more

My husband and my parents all stayed at the Killilagh House in Doolin, Ireland in March 2006. Brid (the owner) allowed us all to check in early due to a very early flight into Shannon Airport (with no extra charge!). She even offered to make us breakfast before we went to our rooms to catch up on some sleep. This... more

We had the immense pleasure of staying at Brid Shannon's Killilagh House in Doolin, Co. Clare, in August of '05. She was most gracious and had a breakfast menu that was unrivaled. Her rooms are spacious and well appointed with plenty of room for luggage, a TV and a sizable shower [unlike too many Irish B & Bs]. It was... more
