We had a great experience staying with Lorraine and family whilst in Doolin. We stayed in six different B & Bs during our time in Ireland recently and Nellie Dees gets our award as the best all-round place. Nellie Dees is about 2 minutes walk to McDermott's Pub - a great place for a meal, great music, and friendly locals... more

The room was very clean and the service friendly. It is also the perfect location for gogin to the beach, walking near the cliffs, and enjoying live music in... more

We can't say enough about Nellie Dee's. The Spencers were congenial, and welcoming hosts. The inn itself was fabulous. It is within walkable distance to two great pubs - McDermott's and McGann's - Breakfast was exactly what we needed to get us started for the day. As a chef at an Irish tea room in the US, the breakfast was... more

My husband and I took a family vacation in Ireland with our 4 children, all in their twenties. We spent our first two nights in Doolin at Nellie Dee's. What a nice location for visiting the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. We also enjoyed a good walk down toward the boat dock area where we sat on the rocks... more

Nellie Dee's is one of our favorite B&B's in Ireland. Jimmy and Lorraine are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home. Our room, which was on the first floor, was very modern, large and nicely decorated. I had some of the best salmon in Ireland here for breakfast. Nellie Dee's is in walking distance to several... more

Wonderful hosts. Pleasure to chat with and get to know the area and history of town. Received great tips about where to tour based on our time lines. Made excellent suggestions to my husband and I that enhanced our trip. Room and bathroom were clean. Comfortable bed (after a long drive from Dublin!). Right down the road (3 min walk... more

I stayed here with a friend in May 2009, and we thought it was the perfect place to stay in Doolin. A two minute walk up the road from a few great pubs featuring traditional live music. The location was fantastic, and the rooms were really nice, modern and spacious. Lorraine and Jimmy were great hosts, and offered us some... more
