Stayed here in May 2013 for two nights and wish it had been for longer. Our bedroom was in an annex in the lovely garden, making it feel a little more private as we had our own front door. Both Ann and Bertie are really lovely, friendly people, they also cook a mean breakfast and keep their place spotlessly clean.... More

My partner Ben and I together with our Cavalier King Charles (Bruno) stayed here a few weekends ago. Our welcome on arrival was very warm and personal. We has a beautifully appointed double room and ensuite in the main house, very tastefully furnished, with a large cosy bed and stunning views to the rear of the property. Ann and Bertie... More

One of the best places i have stayed in and i spend 5 months of the year travelling all over the UK. Travelled to Dorset in a very wet november and was very impressed with the high standard throughout in both the main house and where i stayed , in a courtyard apartment. Spacious with a good sized sitting area... More

Our friends had stayed with Ann and Bertie on a previous trip to Dorset. So, when we all went down together it was a natural B&B to go back to as they had raved about how wonderful it is. We were not disappointed. I can only endorse all the great things which others have said about Ann and Bertie's welcome, the... More

This was undoubtedly the most comfortable and charming B and B we have ever stayed in. Very relaxed and beautifully furnished throughout. The breakfast was delicious. We were impressed that nothing had been forgotten with regard to comfort. Even leaving little jugs of milk in small fridges for our morning tea! We will definitely be going there again, and will... Stayed here for 3 nights. Ann and Bertie very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Stayed in double room in main house which was bright and spotlessly clean. Lovely relaxing place to stay! Breakfasts were good and Ann said if we wanted anything else just ask! Would definitely stay again.

Ann very welcoming. Our room in the Annex was spacious as was the ensuite. Bed very comfortable. Very peaceful and wonderful garden. I suppose the only things I could say it lacked were biscuits on the tea tray and toiletries (bath shower gel etc.) At £80 pn I would expect these items. Breakfast was good but not the best we've... If you want just the best of everything in a bed and breakfast experience then look no further than Longpuddle. This is what a bed and breakfast would be if a certain well known larger company were running it. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere Ann and Bertie could not have been more welcoming or helpfull. The accomodation is first rate we... More

I have just returned from a four night stay and the couple - Ann and Bertie - who run the place are really friendly, the bedrooms are clean and have everything that you would want. Ann even supplied me with gluten free cereal, although I was willing to take my own. My friend had the full breakfast and it certainly... More

We stayed for one night and had a very good stay. The bed was comfortable, the room nicely decorated and very clean, had a very tasty vegetarian breakfast, wifi if you need it and the proprietors were helpful and polite. Would struggle to find fault with it.

A third bed can be made available if required. Breakfast consists of local produce freshly cooked personally by the proprietor. The name Longpuddle was used by Thomas Hardy collectively for the villages of the Piddle valley which has several excellent Pubs serving local food to suite a variety of tastes. The many bridleways offer a chance to see the local wildlife and badger watching is available locally.
