Anyone who says this place is not good value for money is talking through their xxxx bottom. No complaints, if it was 5 star and 5 star prices I would say that some of the carpets needed replacing - other than that nothing wrong with the place, comfy bed, warm room, good food, good beer and convenient. Go there you... More

The St George & Dragon is just a few minutes outside Topsham, it is has ample free parking, very nice rooms, a good menu and lovely real ales. The prices are a little on the high side, but cheap compared to London. The breakfast is a cold buffet, but very nice. The staff are very nice, and one lady in... More

We spent our annual week-end pre-Xmas break with friends at the St George and Dragon just outside Exmouth and were delighted with the excellent staff service, great food plus the comfortable and quaint surroundings. The evening meals are most definitely far above pub grub standard with some very interesting menu choices all presented and cooked to a high standard more... More

At last a pub a roadside pub that seem to take some pride & care over the food they serve. Delicious & sensibly priced food, in nice surroundings, little wonder when we stopped at 2pm on a Friday afternoon the restaurant was extremely busy. An extensive menu + 'Daily Specials' + the lunchtime special price 3 course selection, loads of... More

Having arrived at 8pm on a Sunday night; before we started a 5 day stay in Devon, we soon settled into the pub and our room. Check in was fast and efficient with happy, cheerful staff. After checking into our room that was large, compared to other budget hotels, with a double soft bed, small bathroom with a shower only... More

My partner enjoyed the steak and mushroom pie but the oil in which my fish was cooked was well past its use by date. The chef said he was changing it on the following day - two days too late for me. Pretentious menu doesn't make up for poor food. More

Having stayed previously at Innkeeper's Lodges at Redhill and Northamton we knew not to expect too much at this lodge near Exeter but the stay did not live up to these low expectations. The room (21) was on the ground floor adjacent to pub carpark which meant curtains were drawn all the time. The lodge is on a busy junction... More

Huge family room. Double bed and double sofa (but we were made aware of that when we booked) Good continental breakfast. Shame no cooked option. Ate there for evening meal - EXCELLENT! Good value for money. They were doing a £10 2 course offer all homemade/hand cooked - not a nuke job. Stayed 3 nights. Good location for exploring coast... More

This is one of many .Innkeepers lodges I have stayed in and this is by far the best so far. Prices were really cheap and the accommodation basic, but clean. Staff could not do enough for us and were informative, friendly and polite. The beer garden was very welcome as we had one of the few really hot spells for... More
