Hi stayed here over Easter to visit family ..if you want clean modern rooms where you might not think you would find them down a Shropshire lane in the tranquil countryside, this is for you!! Nice pub also ...good food (better with the actual manager around) ...very peaceful, good for walking and stoping off on route to Wales.

We have stayed here five times in the last five months while visiting a relative. We stay in Kettlemere. Okay so one critic said the rooms need decorating but they are warm, spacious, and contain everything you would find in chain accommodation at this price. But there is a more! It is a great pub with open fires, a range... More

Stayed just the one night. Our room on the ground floor was a little disappointing after reading the previous reviews. Spacious and very clean but it needs redecorating. Doors, skirting boards were very scuffed and flaking paint on the windowsills. Spacious bathroom with fluffy white towels but not big enough to wrap around you. Bathroom fittings quite old with red... More

We stayed at the Burlton Inn for one night and wasn't disappointed in any way. We were shown to our room which was called Blakemere and was greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine from our hosts. We eat in the Inn that night and really enjoyed our meal, the food was excellent and can now understand the rave reviews... More

went to the Burlton inn 2 weeks ago for a special occasion. My partner had been before and we both looked forward to one of the steaks the place is famous for. we ordered 2 steaks which I thought were pricey at approximately £21 each. It is a little annoying when then asked to pay extra for any side dishes.... More

I stayed here and ate in the restaurant. I have written a seperate review for the resuarant which was excellent. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. After such a good meal the night before and everything being to such a good quality the breakfast was not up to the same standard. The standard English came as if each item... More

As a result of reading on-line reviews we decided to visit for dinner. Whilst the exterior of the restaurant looks quite tired once inside the surroundings are very modern, pleasant and welcoming. There was a very good menu choice and all of our dishes were very good. We were partcularly impressed with the oriental starters which were extremely tasty and... More

Stayed there over a bank holiday weekend in May, and its was fantastic. Staff were really friendly and the food was excellent - both in the restaurant and for breakfast. Could tell it was fresh and local and the chef was very accommodating to any requests. The pub has a great atmosphere with reasonable priced drinks. The accommodation rooms are... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night in March. Burlton is handy for Shrewsbury (about 20 minutes by car) but there's not a lot else in the village. The accommodation is separated from the inn which means it was very quiet. There was plenty of parking outside too. The room was functional and clean, although the bed was rock hard and... More

Stopped by here (having booked a table for 7) following a lovely walk around the meres & canal at Ellesmere. Had noted the great reviews & AA / Michelin guide entries, although thought it might be a little expensive. Beer: There were only 2 real ales on (I love the stuff). Tried a pint of each (one I liked, the... More
