Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped here 2 nights in june 2017, hotel is in a great location if travelling to SW France. The rooms are all being refurbished on our visit, but still lack tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. We tried the restaurant but the food we were served was poor. There were no other places nearby to eat so we went hungry...never again!!

We stayed here for 3 nights and I can't fault the place for what we needed. It was clean and reasonably priced. It wasn't anything fancy but we weren't looking for anything like that. My only fault was apart from the main lady who was very friendly and welcoming the other ladies behind the counter seemed like we were putting them out when we asked for anything. If I was in the area again I would consider staying again.

We've stayed here twice now on the way to south west France. The price is very reasonable and it's a clean. The staff are very helpful and although we did not eat in the restaurant I enjoyed a beer after a long drive. We opted for a family room that had a double bed and a couple of bunk beds which were fine for our teenage sons. If I had a criticism it is that the large window opened on to a flat roof and there was no way to secure the window. We didn't stop for breakfast as we wanted to get off early. The WiFi worked so that was good. No tea/coffee facilities in the room wasn't so good. A bit better lighting in the corridors/stairs would be a good thing. But at the price it is a good clean hotel.

My second stay here! Yes it's basic but the beds are comfortable, the showers good, the restaurant exceptional. Just had steak & chips that rate amongst the best. Very friendly staff, some with good English, and safe car parking for my stupid car. Recommended without question!

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a closed gate. Called the hotelier who was most miserable to have heard from me. Terrible attitude of the staff. Did not show any hospitality at all. Went to bed cold, hungry and irritated. Steer Clear of this place.

stayed here early may for a trip to monets garden.could be the smallest room we have ever seen.the hotel is just basic in every way could hardly move in shower. room no better wardrobe no better no room at all and we are small people. there were 32 of us on a short coach trip so the company put us here.in the middle of no where. cheap! on the plus side staff were ok if you can speak a bit. nice dinner one night. nice wine.breakfast ok. on the sunday night though the hotel locked up no staff at all and we were confined to our rooms at 8.30pm i ask you. but we did enjoy our short trip to normandy it was a first coach trip for us and we did have a laugh. we were the youngest there i think. good insight to something different.till next time.

This hotel was ok, very clean and comfortable, staff very helpful etc. Breakfast was a little disappointing, no brioche after the first morning and some strange looking ham. Room very small, but we were not in it much, but no drawer space and few hangers made clothes storage difficult. The pillows were like small, soft cushions but the beds were comfortable. However, we were on the top floor and there is no lift, so ask for a room on a lower floor when you book or be prepared to carry your cases up 30 stairs!

This is a very local Comfort hotel , very small and for the french, not ideal for those of us from the UK. No English spoken. The manager was OK but the staff not helpful. Compared to all the other Comfort Hotels I have stayed in this was the weakest. My wife and I were snow bound here for 48 hours and it was not our best experience. Suggest you arrive late and leave before breakfast

My wife and I stayed here with our nine-year-old son in late July 2012. We were on our way home, and wanted one night's stay in Rouen before driving to the ferry at Calais. Unfortunately, we were unable to find ANY hotels in the Rouen area that would accept two adults plus one child in one room on 30 July except for this one. It was okay. Cleon is not Rouen, but the location was satisfactory: a quiet residential area next to a busy dual carriageway that didn't keep us awake in the night. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean but a bit cramped and in need of redecoration. The bed was too short for a six-footer (me) and rather lumpy. The dining room looked rather old-fashioned but was clean and bright. The food was okay but, for a vegetarian (me), a bit limited: mostly rather vinegary salads, plus some over-cooked chips. Still, the hotel provided us with welcome accommodation and an edible meal when little else was available, and we were grateful for it.
