This is a mixed review. Positives : the communal areas were clean, spacious and well maintained. Nice areas to cook and relax and toys/ activities for the children. Parking was easy and attached to the property. Negatives : it is expensive for what it is. We paid 2/3rd the price of a local good hotel and it didn’t appear to be 2/3rd as nice. The rooms, whilst being a reasonable size, were utilitarian and looking worn. There was what looked like blood on our curtains. The beds weren’t comfortable and the bathroom whilst large was old and, again, utilitarian - a bit like being in a public toilet. I know it’s a youth hostel and we stayed because of lack of otherwise local accommodation but we wouldn’t stay again.

We selected this hostel by chance since all the hotels in the area were already fully booked and we were looking for an accommodation close to Legoland. The Danhostel Vejle was recommended by the Legoland accomodation service and offered an all-inclusive solution that includes entrance ticket to the Park for the 3 of us during the whole stay. We have never been to an hostel before and we have to admit that it was a perfect solution also considering how expensive Denmark could be in the summer period. The rooms are comfortable and clean (although not very big), and all other facilities are available to make your life easier. From the kitchen well equipped, to washing machine, and barbecue corner etc. We paid an extra amount to get bed linen, towels and breakfast (very good buffet!) so at the end we really got all what we needed. Perfect solution, good prices and a beautiful location close to a well-organized town.…

Ho(s)tels in Danmark are expensive, but this Danhostel has affordable prices ánd spacious rooms! We had our own transport and that is very important as the hostel is 5 km out of town. There is busline passing the hotel, but I don't know the timetable of the bus. The internet is a bit slow, but OK. The rooms and the bathroom are spacious and clean. We really liked the breakfast, it was just delicous with a lot of locale products!! A good place to go to Billund or Givskud as long as you have your own car!

This is an average hostel. It's clean, but the duvet and pillow did show sign of time to be changed. It's very basic, to say the least. The receptionist was very very helpful and polite. Really a big plus. We booked a room for 2 persons, with double bed. But got a room for 4 persons, where you cannot sleep in the same bed. Not okay, but we survived. Price compared with what you get is okay, and I would stay there again.

We stayed here two nights with the family then we visited Legoland in Billund, it's about 30 min drive away. The room are ok in size for two adults and two kids, one bunk bed and two standard ones which can be placed together for a queen(?) size bed. The staff was friendly and the place well maintained and clean. We had breakfast one day and it was quite ok, the drawback was that they didn't refill the different items very quickly or at all. So some things ran out. The free wifi worked fine (which is not always the case in all hotels offering free wifi..)

I booked this hostel through a hotel website which showed it among other regular hotels. Therefore I was quite surprised when I arrived and read (since no-one was at the reception) that I would have had to bring linen along (!) or would pay for them. First of all the structure is quite isolated from the city center or any major facilities. The rooms are very basic and quite shallow. A sign at the reception encourages to use the tv-room but without giving indications on where to enter, since everything is closed (unless you arrive on agreed time, that you learn right over there) and without advising that the lights in it are off (!). Once seen the accomodation, I called the number given at the booking site but this was unavailable: found a cell phone and asked the lady if I could still unbook. She reverted me to the booking site, which I did immediately and I was told from them that she refused to unbook (!) My suggestion: avoid it, unless you like a masochistic adventure. After all you pay alotgether a min of about € 70 for a hostel room, with no frills, that you have to make up yourself once you arrive and clean yourself once you leave. I'd rather pay more and get more…

This is a good Danhostel, with quite spacious rooms. The rooms appear clean. Friendly staff, and free WiFi and table games. Price is good too. Main drawback is location, situated a 10min drive from Vejle city center. Would probably stay here again.
