We stayed in the Amanda for 2 nights in September and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were a little small but well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast and the dinner is simple and good, over time you will be bored because it's practically the same every day, but if you are just staying for one or two nights (maybe three), you can manage without going out to eat. Just returned from 3 day stay at Hotel Amanda in Haugesund. Reception friendly and efficient and we were booked into our room immediately when we arrived mid-morning. Room was clean and comfortable. This newly refurbished hotel is marred only by the size of the rooms which are tiny. This is made up for in part by the dinner buffet which, with breakfast, is included in the price. Service is slick and friendly and the hotel has a comfortable TV lounge where one can enjoy the free (make 'em yourself) waffles and coffee.... more

We flew from London on Ryanair to Haugesund & stayed here & loved it. Was only about £70 per night AND INCLUDES BREAKFAST, A LIGHT EVENING MEAL & MAKE YOUR OWN WAFFLES! (from 3-6pm). Is right in the centre of town. There is a lounge with a plasma screen & x box with 4 controls & the staff are happy... more
