We stayed at Highland lodge for 4 nights at Easter holiday and had a very nice stay. We got a nice big family room at 3rd floor, and the kids loved the big extra bed they were sleeping in. The reception area is very nice, and the sun terrace. We were also very pleased with the breakfast and the food... More

We stayed as part of a Christmas package holiday, and enjoyed the hotel, but were a bit underwhelmed Our room was all right, and large as our daughter had to sleep on the sofa bed, but the bathroom was a shower room, and the supplied towels were tiny. The single lift we found was small and slow. The laid out... More

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I am however a bit unsure whether you have posted the review at the correct hotel. At Highland Hotel (now called Highland Lodge, in Geilo, Norway) we do not have mini bars in the room (since April 2012). We do have one elevator in the hotel, but... More

We stayed in two rooms for 1 night: 1. We asked for 1 family room and 1 double room, and they gave us the same room twice, and charged extra( the hotel was almost empty). 2.at 22:00 the recepionist remembered that he doesn't have our credit card and phoned us.. Some of us were asleep after a long days drive. 3.... More

Keep away from the roomnumber with the numer 100.. They are at the lowest levet, without a lift but under the Conferancse rooms, terrible noisy. The food was poor, and have the same taste, if it was fish, meat or chocolate mousse. No taste! For a good price it`s ok to sleep there but find other places to eat.

We stayed at Highland hotel to celebrate new year's eve. The rooms are OK, but quite small and a bit cold. We had to turn up the heat when we got there. We liked that the bathroom had a shower and a bath tub, and it was also nice that the room had a balcony. We were happy to hear... More

I arrived this hotel late, and was actually to late to get dinner. But i asked the waitress if they could get me something like a light meal. I got a delicious fish soup, with bread and butter, with a beer. And I was a happy camper. I had my dinner in the bar, and took my coffee and whisky... More

Stayed here in connection with a scientific meeting. To be fair: the meeting was fully booked, and I may have gotten a single room that they otherwise don't use. But it was really quite disappointing: Dark, small, window on main street, under the roof, with 3 steps down - in a small room! - from door and bathroom to sleeping... More

Check in is at 15.00. Eventhough we requested, days before arrival, to be alloved to check in early on account of the children, we had to wait until 17.00 to check in. Considering that the hotel was almost without guests at the time this was rather strange... The following days we experienced several more incidents that in sum left us... More

We stayed at the Highland Hotel in Feb 2007. Our rooms were large, with twin beds plus a separate (screened off) seating area, and were very warm and comfortable. Facilities within the rooms are basic - take a kettle if you like coffee after a hard day, and take your own bathroom supplies - tissues, soap etc (and soft toilet... More

Great hotel with fantastic lounge/bar area, loads of comfy seating/open fires etc. Nice quiet room with shower. Half-board meals included extensive hot/cold buffet breakfast (bags provided if you wanted to make a picnic lunch!) and set evening meal(unfortunately no early option for toddlers). Wine very expensive, more affordable at the off-licence in town. Central location between ski areas & close... More
