I stayed at "Hotel Uthland" in May, 2004. The price was 90 EUR for a double room (single occupancy). The property is only a few steps away from Westerland's pedestrian shopping zone, the seaside promenade and the famous white sandy beach. The four star "Hotel garni" (= Bed & Breakfast) is led by a very kind owner, Mrs. Schaefer, who supervises every little detail - from the spotlessly clean rooms and public areas to the very extensive buffet breakfast (served until 11 a. m.) Her staff is equally nice. The "Hotel Uthland" features a sauna and sun bed and a small bar for evening drinks. In the afternoon, the breakfast room turns into a café. Rooms have a rustic decor and feature direct dial phone, cable TV, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, bathrobes and lots of towels. I will definitely go there again. more
