Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for three nights and the hospitality was amazing. Very sympathetic people specially Ana and Gianni. Always happy to help! They told us about the history of the hotel and the city, made suggestions of where to go and also lended us two bikes for a ride. It was the best day! Here is my suggestion: go to Spello riding a bike. We had lunch for two days in the hotel's restaurant and there were many Italian local people and we understood why: the food is really delicious and it is a lovely restaurant. Our experience was very satisfying with the reception, with the food and with the bed service.

We used this delightful little hotel as our base to take day trips to sites in Tuscany and Umbria. Very nice room with decent air conditioning located right next to the main highway. Only knock was the very small shower....smaller than usual. But overall, a very nice stay, and some real nice people.

Casa Mancia is one of our favourite hotels in Umbria. Wonderful and relatively large rooms are great and the staff is very friendly. It has seemed to my that most of the guests use the hotel as a hub just to sleep in the night and use the day for sight-seeing. That means you can have a jolly cosy time at the hotel, take a peak at the centre of Foligno, find great restaurants there or in the neighbourhood towns. With plenty to do close by this hotel is perfect to connect the pieces. The only thing I worry about is that while writing well about the hotel it may be more difficult for me to get a room next time.

The best thing of this hotel is its location if you're coming by car. It's just off the highway yet I heard no noise from the street. There's a big parking space available and it's a walking distance to the old city center (15 minutes on foot). Free wi-fi is the next best thing but there was no power socket around the desk and unless your laptop’s power cable is long enough, you won’t be able to work and charge it at the same time. Beware that power sockets are suitable for the narrow plugs only. Bathroom was kind of outdated with broken shower cabin and a curtain, shower head was clogged. Fridge didn’t seem to work properly and a glass, available in the room, wasn't properly cleaned. There was no AC remote to switch it on. General cleanliness in the room was OK though and staff very friendly. Breakfast was basic but OK (cheese, ham, cereals, yoghurt, butter, jam, honey but no fresh fruit or vegetables) with an exception of apricot compote (it turned sour with way too soft and brown apricots), and a bowl of cereals in which I found ants.

We spent 2nights at this lovely 16th century villa. Staff was helpful, rooms spacious and simply decorated.. Breakfast very good for European standards. Our room, #20, had a vaulted ceiling, stone mantel with no fireplace. Beds very comfortable.

The Casamancia is set in a gorgeusly preserved farmhouse with beutiful and spacious rooms with a spotless bathroom and smart flat screen television. Hotel staff where very helpful and extremeley plesant. Breakfast was good and there is small bar and terrace to enjoy a drink in the evening. Located a little out of town, but not to far by foot.

Just out of the town centre, so it's a bus ride, a taxi, your own car or shanksies pony (on foot!). However, the rooms are fantastic, the staff are excellent, friendly and very knowledgable. Breakfast is typical italian so don't look forward to bacon & eggs. Ask for Carlo, a local taxi driver, he took us to some marvellous restaurants at an extremely rate. Next time we are in Umbria, this will be the first hotel we book. Definitley the cat's whiskers!!
