We arrived in Sopalana for a one night stay en route from Bilbao to France.

We were allowed to check in early which was a great advantage as we had just come from the Portsmouth - Bilbao Ferry. (Obviously we were lucky our room was available!)

We were badly hampered by our lack of Spanish, but all the staff were extremely helpful.

Our rooms for my wife and myself and our two daughters were excellent and just what we needed.

We asked for help in finding somewhere to eat and were directed to a restaurant in the towm where we were well fed.

Sopalana is a small town near the coast - the beaches are very nice indeed.

After leaving the hotel we received an e mail from them telling us we had left a Harry Potter Book and one of our daughters socks!

These were duly sent on to us - the socks washed first of all!!


I can recommend this hotel without question.
