This hotel was a stop off point for us. We had not prebooked and arrived by motorcycle and pulled up outside reception to unload our lugguage and promptly told quite rudely to move it by the barman. The setting of the hotel is impressive on the top of the hillside overlooking the beautiful coast line. We had a room with... More

Kulm is a spectacular property with very memorable views. Our accommodations were excellent with a balcony where we could sit and take in the coastline. Really nice. Another positive surprise was their wonderful dining room; sitting in front of open French doors, a cool breeze, city lights, fantastic service and food to match. Paolo the head waiter helped us to... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 night on a business matter. The first 2 nights were OK but on the third night it was friday and the hotel hosted a big company of visitors in their restaurant. The guys got drunk and became awfully noisy. We needed to get up early in the morning and it was already midnight so... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and I have to say I found it to be rather disappointing. The receptionist we christened 'Signora No', which was actually being very polite as she was really quite unhelpful. It's a big hotel and feels very impersonal, plus the bar snacks etc are a total rip off. That said it... More

The room was quite small and the furniture looked quite old (also in style). The bathroom on the contrary was spacious and comfortable. The main disappointment is the swimming pool which is only indoor. We were there on a sunny week end in May and we spent an afternoon in the sunbeds in the garden, very quiet and with great... More

Great view. Very mediocre rooms. Poor service and advice. But the WORST of all: being in Italy (country know for its good coffee and cappuccino) and for breakfast getting yourself a coffee or cappuccino out of a MACHINE, just like on highway restaurant!!! Couldn't just believe it!! I lived for 9 years in Italy and love the coffee and food,... More

My husband, four-month-old son and I stayed here on our way back home from France to Naples, Italy. We only stayed one night, but will certainly be back. From the moment we arrived, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The views from the rooms and grounds are beautiful and the hotel is stunning on its own. Even at our very... More

The hotel could do a lot more with such a location and view... the hotel room was not especially nice furnished, the bed too hard. The swimmingpool was inside, the restaurant area had too small windows to enjoy the fabulous views... the hotel needs definitely some refreshing... service was good, breakfast okay. More

This hotel is on top of a mountain overlooking the sea and quaint villages. It has all amenities including a wonderful swimming pool, spa, and excellent restaurant serving continental cuisine. It also has a free shuttle that takes you down to the rustic fishing village turned beach resort with its black shale beach. Their sister hotel offers discounted chairs and... More

The Portofino Kulm is immaculate and beautifully situated. It is virtually a mountain top hotel. The views from our room were breathtaking. When it is clear you can see 100 km.. Make sure you walk up to the old hotel casino and go up to the roof. From there you can see all the way beyond Genoa to the west... More
