We wanted to spend a few days in Marsascala, and this was the only hotel we could find. Some of the previous reviews made us a bit wary, but we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were basic but clean and regularly serviced. The breakfast, once again, was basic, but a cooked breakfast was available in addition... more

From being waved in when lost at one in the morning and finally the checkout,'no you dont owe us anything extra' Cerviola is super value and service, away from the fleshpots of Sliema etc. Spacious clean rooms,en suite, small but adequate rooftop pool, sun loungers etc. Quiet, but on bus route, local beach marina etc. a short walk, shops across the road, parking, restaraunts and bars... more

I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, after reading the reviews that were put on here prior to going I expected the worse, and was pleasently suprised, Ok yes the rooms are basic but they are clean, the pool looks nothing like the pics that someone put on here, it is clean, the chap that owns... more

We are just back from a week's stay in this hotel. Bearing in mind it is only a 2 star place, it really is not worthy of this rating. The chap who collected us from the airport in the middle of the night and the chef were the only two high points of our stay. The pool was shut -... more

For it's 3 stars, this hotel was more than adequate. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was fresh and any requests were accommodated. Ideally located only a few minutes walk from the village centre. Suited all our needs, it's not a 5* hotel and thats reflected in the price but we definately received 5* service from the... more

just come back from a week at the Cerviola, I dont know what people expect ,it is not a 5 star hotel nor does it pretend to be. I paid the equivalent of £10 per night for B+B. Yes, the hotel is dated, but our room was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. Breakfast was ok, a choice of... more

Well I am writing this review feeling lucky that I didn't get to stay in this 'boarding house' which calls itself a hotel. We were booked in for a week and got there at 7am - despite advsing the hotel of our early/ late arrival. As soon as our minibus had arrived we were beseiged by what appeared to be... more

Ok, I have visited Malta well over a dozen times in the last 3 years now and have stayed in 3* and 4* hotels and am aware of the rating system. I decided a different location (Marsascala) which is a lovely place, peacefull, nice bars and food etc! I decided on the Cerviola after viewing the hotels website. It looked... more

We have just returned from the beautiful Island of Malta but the Hotel, which was rated as 3* was worse than Faulty Towers. I would rate this as a NO* hotel. As my husband & I (late 40's early 50's) were travelling with my mother (70's) the only request that we had was to have 2 rooms next door to... more
