This hotel has terrible decor and has seen its days. Whist the reception area is acceptable, there was a terrible smell as I got out of the elevator on the 4th floor. Away with a few members of extended family, inc two young teenage girls, for some shopping and general relaxation. The hotel is just off the royal mile, which is located centrally in the beautiful city of edinburgh. 5mins towards the castle, 5mins the other direction to the main shopping area.
