The grounds are amazing, rooms are ok in my opinion - abit dated and dark. The great thing though is they cater for families with babies. I stayed at the Chateau St. Gerlach 2 nights for a conference. The property is in a huge park with amazing garden features and a collection of statues - it's also very close to Maastricht. Stayed here in the resenditial suite, which is beautiful! Very romantic spaceous room and mostly friendly staff. We have been to this hotel many times, and every time it is great. Even President George W Bush stayed here! My husband and I stayed for one night in this beautiful hotel in the Valkenburg area. Chateau St. Gerlach is a very nice and unique hotel, in a beautiful park and close to Valkenburg and Maastricht for activities. Dinner was nice, not very special but also not wrong.
