I stayed at Bansbari Lodge with a group of 15 people for three nights and Paid Rs.6000 per night for room and meal. Basic lunch with rice, dal and one veg, one non veg item and no bread. Dinner same but with bread. Linen not changed in the rooms on daily basis (only on request), towels are very dirty and... More

Bansbari Lodge, Manas National Park, is a very dilapidated hotel. The service and food were basic, the staff was friendly, and there was electricity sometimes. A visit to Manas National Park is normally an early morning visit on elephant back (6.:00-7:00 hours), a walk to the nearby village or tea estate (9:00-11:00 hours) and a drive in the afternoon (14:30... Stayed here November2012 and had a wonderful experience. Rooms are basic but spotless and comfortable with good showers. The food is excellent, some of the best we tasted in India. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal situation as so close to the park and no distance to go for an early morning elephant safari. The jeep safaris were ideal, through... More

Stayed for 3 days after my event. Nice, clean and cosy rooms with balcony. good staff and very good food. had a nice stay with a wonder experience of the Manas Sancturay. The lodge is just next to the sanctuary gate where the elephant safari starts. in front of the lodge you have vast field of tea plantation. Do visit... More

The location is wonderful...just outside the gate of Manas...(though there is another hotel on a mountain overlooking Manas river...it is difficult to book rooms there as they have an office only at Barpeta Road Tiger Project centre). The ambiance is amazing ....the lobby wonderful. the rooms are neat n clean and very comfortable. every room has a balcony. Lamp shades... More

We have been to Manas National park in October 2012. We booked four rooms with breakfast, lunch and dinner, 1 jeep safari, 1 elefant ride, 1 walk through the village and transfer from and to airport in Guwahati. Even though we came very late everything was prepared. The rooms are simple but the staff and their manager did everything to... More

We visited the place on the 2nd of Jan 2012.The park was full of the new year revellers and one could hardly feel that it was a National park. The lodge itself is a building built by the ITDC and leased out to the Assam Bengal navigation at the height of Militancy in the area. The rooms are large and the... More

My comments are in the same lines as the previous 2 reviews. Do not expect a fancy jungle lodge African style. This is a very basic sleep+eat+warm smile type of lodge. Rooms are basic, spacious, clean & ok. Ask for mosquito nets for the night. Toilet standards could be better. Best part is the warm smile on the young faces... More

You might think its a bit bit basic when you arrive, but don't panic. Everything that matters is there and is fine. Beds are comfortable clean and comfy. Showers work really well. Food is tasty and cold drinks available. Hotel is right next to the park gate and at the moment you are still allowed in manas after dark. The... More

My wife and I, just returned from a trip to the Manas Tiger Reserve. We stayed at the Bansbari Lodge where we found the rooms and the bathroom to be spotlessly clean, without any bugs, flies, etc., the bed comfortable and the food very delicious and sufficient. We were quite a bit aprehensive, having read a previous review on the... More
