We stayed at Hotel Stutz 12 nights and it was wonderful. The room was comfortable, clean and our view was excellent. We bought ½ board (highly recommended, approximately 40 additional SF per night) and the food was superb. Breakfast selection is meat, cheese, breads, muesli, coffee and tea. Dinner is a three course feast. Our main dish ranged from fish to lamb to curry. Food in Switzerland is expensive. We definitely saved money by buying half board and purchasing our lunch at the local CO OP supermarket.
We spent our 12 days downhill and cross-country skiing. It is a 4 minute walk (300m) to the ski lift and ticket office. Lift tickets cost approximately 40 SF per day if you buy 3+ days. We found the short walk to be the perfect warm-up for a day on the slopes. There are trails to cross-country ski on, but the area is very mountainous.
