I spent a few days at the Zum See hotel outside Grachen in the Swiss alps. The stay was an amazing experience. The hotel is a family hotel run with the expected high standards of service and quality, The room was warm and comfortable. The oven fresh rolls and cheeses made for a highly adequate breakfast. The family staff were always helpful and attentive.
The lake alongside the residence adds and unforgettable ambience and a peaceful haven for ending the day. Walkpaths around the hotel are plenty and well organised. The town is a short 10 minute walk away. If you go there the meat fondue at the hotel restuarant is a must.
In short - a peaceful, quite, well run hotel for a different type of relaxation.
