My wife, myself and three grandchildren wanted a cheap room-only accommodation so we could eat breakfast and evening meal at Bar Pano, and lunch by the pool at Hotel Costa Brava. Breakfast at Soms is only Continental, costs €5 and has to be ordered in advance.
The rooms had no air conditioning and no electric socket in the bedroom, but we managed to use a hair dryer and phone charger in the bathroom without blowing a fuse! There is a good lift, a small pool and a good little library of books. The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day. The balcony overlooked the pool, with views of the river and hills beyond. The staff were very friendly, and we were allowed to use one of the rooms on day of departure until we left at 2-30 p.m. without charge!
The hotel is quite near to the town centre, and only a few yards from the Dia Supermarket which is excellent value (like Kwiksave used to be!).
