We stayed at the Vila de Tossa in September 2007. It is very central and is right across the road from a great supermarket. We did not experience any noise from the main road. The hotel was very basic certainly not of a standard you would expect of a four star hotel. The staff did not speak a lot of English and seemed not to understand a lot of what we said. This was a great hotel. Very clean, with a wonderful breakfast buffet. The staff was courteous and accomodating. We were on the top floor, streetside, but were never bothered by any noise.
