The apartments were very small and a bit smelly. The bedding and sheets were about 30 years old as was the decor. Arrived at El Cardonal to be greeted by the receptionist.We were lucky to have a bungalow overlooking the pool area.Nice and clean and comfortable.Not the Ritz but quite good enough.The bathroom had toilet,bidet,washbasin and excellent shower over bath.The kitchenette was quite sufficient for our needs with two rings,toaster,microwave and fridge.The tv needed a key and for 15 Euros got ITV,News... more

Me and my friend stayed at the Cardonal for a week, beginning April 21st. The hotel is made up of around 50 small bungalows in rows uphill, reception and a bar and pool area. Stayed at the complex for 7 nights, lovely bungalow, no toaster or remote control but both sorted very quickly. Staff very very helpful organising trips / excursions / taxi's. Just returned from a two week stay at the apartments - very basic and a bit dated but comfortable and well maintained and cleaned. we booked a last minute trip with Cosmos and we enjoyed every minute- granted the apartments are dated and are slowly being refurbished but the friendliness of the place and the bar food for lunch were excellent. to be honest we had a very good time on holiday in maspalomas and would definately return but we would not go to this accomodation again. we had to change rooms due to being infested by cockroaches and also was overcharged on various occasions by a particular blonde barmaid. apart from these niggly problems we througly enjoyed our stay. food... more
