Malta Campsite is the only established camp ground on Malta. It's located on the top right tip of the island, only a couple of kilometres from the Gozo Ferry.

The great thing is if you're coming for a weekend break then you can just hire a tent that comes kitted with lights, matresses, tables, chairs, cooker and a fridge. No hassle in trying to fit all things camping in your luggage. All for only 30 euros per night for two people.

We spent two nights here and found the facilities above average, clean tiolets and showers, a nice pool and Vince, the owner and host, was super welcoming, friendly and helpful.

If you don't want a typical hotel holiday in a Maltese city with hundreds of British travellers then I highly recommend you stay here. It's down a tiny dusty road and is literally in a rocky paddock on the coast with no buildings in sight.
