My husband and I stayed at 'Les Deux Pignons' for a couple of nights in May this year to celebrate thirty years together. Our hosts, Amanda and Dave Kemsley, were a joy to be with and looked after us remarkably well. Amanda is a super cook while Dave was a riot. The house has been sympathetically restored making it comfortable and inviting but with all the mod cons. The tranquility of the location and the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside will stay with us as we don't recall having such a pleasant mini-break, and thirty years is a long time. We loved our romantic stay and are looking forward to meeting these genuinely friendly people again soon.
Bonne chance!

My partner and I have just returned from a weekend at Les Deux Pignons.
Mand and Dave are so welcoming and nothing is too much bother.

If you do not have any prior plans its worth opting to have an evening meal with them as it was fabulous!

We stayed with Amanda at Deux Pignons for 8 nights this Easter and it was fantastic. We were over house hunting and we based ourselves at Deux Pignons. Firstly the place is glorious and the house beautiful: the rooms were charming with enormous beams, great views, lovely contemporary bathrooms and comfy beds with crisp white sheets. The breakfasts were ample and very tasty with lovely local produce and lots of Amanda's free range eggs and homemade bread.
During the day we went on viewings but our 17 year old daughter stayed behind to revise and was made very welcome by Amanda in the lovely farmhouse dining room. We also ate evening meals at Deux Pignons most nights because Amanda's cooking was delicious and it was such great value. Amanda herself was a fantastic host and full of helpful local knowledge. All in all we have nothing but praise for Amanda and Deux Pignons and we would recommend it to any one!

I stopped here for one night with my wife as part of a multi stop break and can honestly say this accommodation was the highlight of our stay. Amanda the host was a lovely friendly person with a genuine welcome and desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, We opted for the evening meal and were not disappointed in any way, from the wine to each course it was all 1st class. The breakfast was of the same standard, which was plentiful and made up of local produce. I would highly recommend this place foe someone looking for a relaxing break with great food and company.

Stayed at this fantastic Chambre d'hote, for 2 nights in August with our 11 yr old son, and another couple. Amanda the host, only has 3 rooms, so we were the only guests, which was nice.
I cannot fault our stay, we booked to have the evening meal on our arrival night, and so glad we did, it was fantastic, home cooked food, and mostly locally sourced ingredients. Great food & great wine, at a great price.
There are 2 en-suite double rooms, which have been renovated to a very high standard, and a separate double room that our 11 yr old had, we struggled to get him out of the bed, it was sooo comfy he said :-) .
The continental breakfast like the evening meal was very generous, and excellent.
I would highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again, if we are ever in this area.
We wanted a to go out for a drink in the evening, so Amanda recommended going into L'Absie a village a short drive from her, where there is a bar run by an English couple, and unlike French bars is open in the evening!

We had a super four night stay with the host Amanda in her beautiful Chambre d'hote. The location was perfect and easily found. The rooms are lovely, comfortable bed and good sized ensuite. The continental breakfast was generous with a good choice to set you up for the day. We also took advantage of the evening meals which were delicious! We would stay again if we were in the area!

My husband and I spent a night at Les Deux Pignons after reading good reviews. The stay was exactly people described--friendly hosts, beautifully renovated farm house, and excellent dinner! It is nice that you can enjoy good features of French chambre d'hote (home-cooked dinner with the host) and British B&B (early check-in and tea&coffee making facility!!!) at the same time. You can also enjoy nice walking near the premises. Highly recommended.

My wife, son and dog spent a night at Deux Pignons. The welcome is friendly and the farmhouse is really nicely refurbished - beams and exposed stone etc. The room and bathroom is hotel standard -a really high standard, we also had the small single room for our son. We had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was superb and great value - in fact they should charge more, breakfast similarily was very good. The dog enjoyed his walk in the country as well

My wife and I spent an extended weekend stay at Les Deux Pignons and it was a fantastic choice of B&B. Set in fantastic rural French countryside the accommodation was finished to a extremely high standard and perfect for a relaxing break. Mand and Dave were more than accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the cooked breakfast is highly recommended. I would recommend Les Deux Pignons to anyone thinking of booking a break in France.

The views of the surounding area from the bedrooms are breathtaking. As for the hosts, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for Dave & Amanda.
