My husband and myself stayed one night at this inn as we had a wedding nearby, it was expensive at £120 per night b&b. but on our arrival ( which was early and accommodated ) we found the room to be very comfy, and had all we required. In the morning we had a fab breakfast really top class, they... More

The service we received was very good - the young team of staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and the dinners too and the place had a lovely ambiance. Stayed for 2 nights and the rooms are smallish, but very nice, my only complaint would be that the walls between the rooms are paper thin and... More

A lovely stay; my wife, our two boys and I were made to feel most welcome by the owner & staff. We were well looked after, the rooms were comfortable and the food was good, without being pretentious, fussy or overpriced. The Woolpack Inn is a lovely place to stay for an overnight getaway and whilst it's really a place... More

Stayed at the Woolpack Inn for 3 nights. This is a very nice hotel for a short break the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is extremely good with an extensive breakfast menu. Very peaceful location in a pretty valley. Only issue is that they need to up their housekeeping quality. Rubbish bins were not emptied in the... More

Our daughter and her family live nearby so we have been to The Woolpack before - not very impressed (but most restaurants in area are mediocre and over priced). Last Sunday (Easter Sunday) we all went again for family lunch. We had a wonderful English Sunday lunch. Some had sirloin of beef, two had steaks and I had a Dover... More

We were tempted to drive past the Purefoy by a couple of recommendations. The good things were a nice welcome, pleasant service and a nicely private table, a sort of banquette. Unfortunately that's about it. Very ordinary food, pub style gammon, fish and chips small by pub standards, not that that bothered us. Jude's ice cream was as it aid... More

Had a great stay at The Woolpack Inn on Friday night following a couple of very stressful weeks. Wonderful room with a heavenly bath, followed by a scrumptious dinner of a delicious chicken and wild mushroom pie and chocolate delice. Great food! Good nights sleep and a leisurely delicious breakfast topped off a wonderful 24 hours. We'll be back!

We stayed one night whilst visiting Winchester and surrounding areas. The room was lovely. Nice original features with a contemporary touches. Although it was small I found it to be very charming & cosy with a nice 'cottagey' feel. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and presented very well. We had breakfast included with loads... More

I have never really felt the need to write a review on Tripadvisor until now, as individual’s opinions are exactly that – their personal perspective of an event. What is great for someone else may not be what I enjoy and vice versa. However, my partner showed me the last review from “M” and I felt it was only right... More

We booked a night here for my partners birthday. It was our first and only night away without the kids since before our second child was born almost 3 years ago so we were really looking forward to a relaxing night away and some good food. On arrival we were shown to our room by one of the staff. The... More
