Booked both rooms for a family visit to a relative living locally and had a lovely stay at Swanson House. Philip and Pat are excellent hosts. We found this hotel on google as we were working in the area, really nice place and excellent value for money too. The Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was lovely. Pitty we were only in the area for one evening. We will definately be back when we are next in the area!

As the torch passed through Brough, we stayed for coffee and cake at Swanson House. Both were absolutely yummy and the service just right, price about what you would expect. I don't know if they are normally open for afternoon tea but if this is the example for their food, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Swanson House after enjoying a day the sunshine with the family and what a perfect end to a lovely day. We arrived very late, but the welcome was extremely warm nothing was too much trouble. The room was fantastic, clean and with lots of homely touches. The pantry was a nice surprise with lots of home made cakes to sample. Definitely worth a visit . We would definitely stay again. Good value for money. Thanks for a fantastic weekend
