My wife and I have found paradise, actually we found it a few years ago, but it is so unique and spendid that we return there as offer as possible. Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur California is the kind of place that as soon as you enter the property you can actually feel the tension of work and everyday... more

We visited for lunch only. It's a lovely location, a beautiful facility and the food was excellent. But the service was indifferent and very, very slow. Not what you would expect from a famous resort with world clas prices! more

I had high expectations for my trip to the Post Ranch Inn and they were exceeded. My partner and I stayed in a one of the Pacific Suites, with a spectacular ocean view and a roaring fireplace. We had planned on hiking and exploring the surrounding area of Big Sur, but we ended up spending most of our time relaxing... more

I've stayed there twice so far and both stays provided the most relaxing escapes. (Luckily I live in SF so it's fairly easy to escape down here.) You get to experience nature in all its beauty in what I can only describe as "extreme comfort." Without a doubt, the location is breathtaking. There is no place in the world like... more

There isn't much more to say about this place than others have already mentioned. This is an absolutely amazing experience from the check in to the check out - outstanding service, attention to detail, beautiful rooms, incredible breakfast, fitness room, yoga and spa treatments. It is not the kind of 5 star, over the top service but rather quiet, rustic... more

We come here twice a year. Place has no rival. The rooms are beautiful, restaurant is great for all three meals. There is no end to the solitude and beauty at the Inn. The stay ends up being expensive, but to a person the experience is first rate. more

I stayed for a night at the Post Ranch Inn and was absolutely amazed at this fantastic property. The warm welcome by everyone on staff was sincere and friendly and the accommodations are some of the finest I have ever stayed in. The rooms are set 1,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean, and have views looking down the spectacular Big... more

About as good a location as you will ever find a hotel. The whole place is excellent from the rooms to restaurant. It is extremely well done and fits into its location perfectly. The plunge pools are an amazing place to have a glass of champagne whilst watching sunset over the Big Sur. Romantic, fine food and an unmatched view... more

For those who can afford the eye-popping pricetag, there is perhaps no finer destination than the Post Ranch Inn. While its rooms are not up to the standard set by the Ventana Inn, the Post's neighbour across Highway One, its setting is unsurpassed. The Post offers a fantastic restaurant, helpful staff (who are quick to offer weary travelers a glass... more

The sun was shining, our Mustang "soft top" had been delivered to our hotel in San Francisco and we were ready for our Highway 1 costal drive experience. The drive was fantastic, the road snaking around the coast with lots of photo opportunities at various stops on the way. 4 hours later we arrived at our destination "The Post Ranch... more
