We just ended our sixth trip to Post Ranch, and can't wait to get back. We've stayed at many of the best resorts and hotels in the world and yet this remains our favorite. Everything is perfect, from the rooms (even the entry level ones are awsome), to the grounds, to the food to the service. And although the rooms... more

We arrived in Big Sur in brilliant sunshine and drove up the steep road to reception – we were then taken in their company vehicle to our room which was the lower part of a duplex called Torres. The location of this hotel is totally amazing, the rooms and their amenities are first class and the restaurant serves the loveliest... more

The minute you climb the hill to reception your world changes. We were taken to our room and I never wanted to leave. We had a view of the Pacific, or so we were told, and we heard but never actually saw water. We were only there for one night and that first night we were in the clouds. It... more

ended a big sur backpack trip with a stay at the post ranch inn. Service was top notch. Classy, but not all -in-your-face, stuffy service. The place is quiet, we hardly saw another soul for most of the time we were there. food is supposed to be incredible, but the service was so slow we decided to head down the... more

I have to admit that the nightly price was a bit daunting, but this trip was our first real vacation and we made the room to splurge for two nights (10d trip). From the moment we set foot on the property, we were overwhelmed with a sense of peacefulness, beauty, and exclusivity (not in the high-end way, but in the... more

My wife and I have been staying at the Post Ranch Inn for at least one weekend a year for many years. It continues to be one of the best and most romantic experiences for us. From the incredible ocean views in the beautifully appointed very private detached Ocean houses to the duplex cliff rooms to the rooms hanging in... more

We stayed in the Post House accommodation at this wonderful hotel. The photos on the website do NOT this accommodation justice! The setting is absolutely stunning in every way and the Post House itself is beautiful. It is quiet, spacious, romantic and relaxing. You have 3 double bedrooms, two beautiful bathrooms, an open plan living room/ kitchen area, a terraced... more

My husband and I stayed at the Post Ranch Inn for our anniversary late in September. We've traveled extensively around the world and for that reason are pretty hard to impress - and I hate to say, we're complete food snobs as well. Given that, the PRI was magnificent both in lodging and cuisine. We were able to experience both... more

My wife and I have stayed at Post Ranch many times and have made it our spot to go and celebrate our anniversary. This year marked our 15th anniversary out of 34 happily married years together. While I often brag about Post Ranch and our experience there, it would be complete or fair to not include their restaurant Sierra Mar... more

This was our second lunch at Post Ranch Inn, and the food service and location were all excellent. I'm pleased to report this because of an earlier experience/review where we were disappointed with the service. This time it was attentive prompt and pleasant, making the entire experience one that I'd heartily recommend. more
