I've stayed at various hotels, lodges, and camp sites up and down the entire California coast. The California coastline is one of the most beautiful places you'll ever see. From Treebones you can drive to some interesting places north or south but there is not much to do at the actual site except for maybe a short hike or two.... more

I stayed at Treebones a couple of years ago and probably would not go back. First of all Treebones is on the big sur coast but pretty far south so driving at night is not very easy and personnally I'd rather be closer to the more central areas of big sur.
