We stayed for 2 nights in the Ocean View Yurt 16 at Treebones Resort as part of our honeymoon road trip. We camped and stayed in b&bs for the rest of the trip. The previous 2 nights we had actually spent at Kirk Creek Campground about 8 miles north of Treebones. This was absolutely stunning and cost us about $25... more

I stayed at Treebones for two nights in Yurt #12. The place has a great location, and the yurts are big and spacious. It looks magical at night. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too great when I stayed - the infamous Big Sur fog rolled in so I missed out on the great views. The pool and hot tub are nice... more

This was most likely one of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff were extremely pleasant upon our check-in and our Yurt was clean, unique, and simply awesome. A group of my friends, including my sister whom is completely against the outdoors, stayed in the largest yurt available within the resort which gave beautiful views of the ocean. The... more

Where to start... we stayed in one of their campsites over Memorial Day weekend, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. A bit on the pricey side for camping, but they really make it worth every penny. Wonderfully clean bathrooms, possibly the cleanest I've ever seen camping. All campsites have an absolutely gorgeous ocean view. One morning we awoke... more

I've stayed at various hotels, lodges, and camp sites up and down the entire California coast. The California coastline is one of the most beautiful places you'll ever see. From Treebones you can drive to some interesting places north or south but there is not much to do at the actual site except for maybe a short hike or two.... more

Treebones Resort was great. I stayed there for a week and if you want peace and relaxation, this is the place to go. The weather was perfect, not too warm and not too cold. The views are phenomenal. I had the opportunity to stay in Yurts 7 & 9. Yurt 7 had views of the mountains and the ocean. Yurt... more

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way up the coast from LA - was a real contrast, having come from busy LA to this place. It is in a very very quiet location; some might call this boring, but it is incredibly relaxing and there is lots to do in the area if you do your research. We stayed... more

What a place! If you are adventurous, love the outdoors, enjoy finer things in life, and seek a different experience than you need to check this place out. We enjoyed the uniqueness of sleeping in a large yurt with a fire place and indescribable view of the southern point of Big Sur where we witnessed a sunset while we watched... more

There are few choices in Big Sur and no real "central area" and if you want an opportunity to be close to nature and really soak in the coastal experience, this is the place to stay. If you are the kind of person that would rather have common luxury, typical hotel /spa style experiences this is not for you. The... more

I stayed at Treebones a couple of years ago and probably would not go back. First of all Treebones is on the big sur coast but pretty far south so driving at night is not very easy and personnally I'd rather be closer to the more central areas of big sur. The yurt and pool were fine- comfortable, warm etc.... more
