A wonderful characterful home to stay in, and Clare looked after us very well. Delicious breakfasts, a warm log fire and plenty of guides and guidance about the local area. A very relaxing stay. More

We recently spent a long weekend at Woolbeding Cottage with our kids. We are more used to hostels than B&B because I am vegan so I find it easier to be able to cook for myself, but the luxury of staying here has converted me. Clare's cooking was excellent and our children were genuinely excited about what they may get... More

Great B&B. Beautiful home which was made warm and welcoming by Claire. Cake on arrival, views of the Downs from the bedroom, candles for your bath, glasses left out for our wine, perfect eggs at breakfast and a log fire which was always on - we couldn't have asked for a better stay. The quiet and secluded location worked well... More

From arrival to departure we were "wowed" by this B&B. Although its just a few minutes from the village it feels like you are on your own in the beautiful countryside. The room was enormous and tastefully decorated. The ensuite shower was exceptional as were the views from all the windows. The bed was so comfy we have just bought... More

We visited the area for friends wedding. Woolbeding was not on the list of accomodation they had recommended, but we took the chance anyway. What a great found ! We always go to B&B in England and France, almost as a principle and this is my number 1 (out of 200 probably ). It is the most amazing country retreat... More

Upon driving into the grounds of the cottage we were filled with relief: we had struck lucky. Picturesque is the only word that comes close to describing the cottage and the surrounding space. Claire came out with a big smile on her face and that was the touch that completed the picture. The cottage is beautiful and this is because... More

Three of us stayed at Woolbeding Cottage this weekend after it was recommended by the venue of the wedding we were attending – we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Peaceful location, spotless rooms (a fresh shabby chic country vibe combined with beautiful newly decorated bathrooms), great views, a good choice at breakfast and the owner was charming, friendly and... I can't recommend Woolbeding Cottage highly enough. Spotless rooms, comfortable beds, flawless breakfast, the use of a comfortable drawing room....it is all extremely nice and Clare really looks after her guests with charm and ease. If you are in the area, you would be mad not to stay here. More
