We had a delightful stay in the Master Suite with our two young children whilst visiting the Celtic Manor Resort. Lovely comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom and all so stylish. We had a fantastic nights sleep and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay, didn't have breakfast as we thought £10 per head was a bit much!! Great location for anyone who wants to go to Celtic Manor. Best bits: clean, amazing shower, comfy beds and great service. Not so good: bathroom tap Well worth a stay and we would stay there again

We were traveling with our 2 small children (4 & 11 months) and this was an excellent property. Sue and Kat went out of their way to make sure that we were well looked after, even down to giving us milk for the little ones. The spacious 2 bedroom is perfect for families. There is a travel cot and high... More

It is such a lovely hotel, very well decorated and the service was first class, we even got upgraded. Just out the way of a busy road. Very comfortable, we will defiantly be visiting here again. There is even a pub across the road who are very friendly.

We revisited the Celtic Guesthouses recently and was met by Sue with her usual warm and friendly greeting. She had already booked our dinner reservation as requested and had everthing ready. The room and guesthouse were lovely and we had a super breakfast the next morning. I am sure we will be visiting again soon.

For anyone visiting Magor, Chepstow, Newport and the nearby areas, this place is well worth checking out. A fun and friendly atmosphere, spacious rooms that are beautifully presented, a lovely continental breakfast and fabulous countryside. They don't do evening meals but there are a few great restaurants in the nearby area and I would highly recommend this place for a... More

Firstly there is nothing wrong with The Old Rectory but bathrobes do not a boutique hotel make. This is posh Premier Inn with good quality fixtures and fittings and tasteful decor. Also there is little competition in the area at this level so the concept is very clever. From the outside it is an unattractive building resembling a motel more than... More

If you're planning to stay in Newport area for a few days. Drive straight past the Newport Hilton and find the Celtic Guest House. Very friendly, helpful and warm welcome on arrival. Very nice boutique style hotel. Suitable for short stops especially for the business user. Highly recommended and my new place to stay when ever I'm in the area.

I had to spend one night in Magor for business on 7th January, and not being familiar with the location, I decided to check on TripAdvisor to see what the recommended hotels/Guest houses were in the area. Celtic Guest houses came out top and as it was a reasonable price, I booked it. The reviewers on TripAdvisor came up trumps,... More

A beautiul room & bathroom with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There was a lovely receptionist on duty both the night we arrived & the next morning who was so nice & helpful. We were only staying one night, unfortunatly as we were on our way to the ferry but we would definatly hope to return.... More
