Hotel is very new, not in contemporary style though, decor is rather old fashioned/traditional - overall design doesn't seem very well thought out (why is there no step free access from the lobby to ground floor rooms?) I second the earlier review and will try to add some touches of luxury and service that we received during this Christmas stay. First off the public areas are just so elegant and beautiful. The hotel opened in June of 2006 so everything is brand new. The artwork and the decorations are fabolous. There is even a "pillow menu" with 6 different types of pillows. The staff's english is better than most places and they really go out of their way to please. The mattress is the best I've slept on in Mexico so... more
