Mision Palenque is a fairly large hotel set far back on palatial grounds, with a nice pool and uniqe mud spa tucked into the jungle. As said in previous reviews, this is a hotel that works mainly with large tourist groups, so if you are looking for something more intimate and for a more personalised service this hotel won't be your cup of tea. stayed there last year for a couple of days... i had a suite so had great window views and huge bathroom w/ same view but who goes to palenque to stay at the hotel? a/c took a while to start cooling but room was clean.... staff either poorly trained or not very bright and seemed resentful for some odd reason... more

Mision Palenque is a big hotel with old rooms and bathrooms. We had to share our dinner-table with a German tourist group and we couldn't communicate. Fortunately most of tourists only stay here for one night just to visit Palenque Archeological Site wich is the best I 've seen in Mexico. more
