Mision Palenque has a nice pool area, pleasant grounds, and a location convenient to Palenque ruins. The rooms are adequate but had some insects--perhaps inevitable in the region. The breakfast buffet was good. However, the other meal buffets ranged from mediocre but adequate to disturbing. Salad greens were sometimes brown (or worse) and a dessert cake was crawling with ants... more

After reading negative reviews of the hotels close to the ruins I decided this looked like our best bet for this area. The hotel is in a great location. It is in town, which means near the grocery store, gas station, etc. but it is set away from the town by a large wall and guarded entryway and then a... more

Mision Palenque is a fairly large hotel set far back on palatial grounds, with a nice pool and uniqe mud spa tucked into the jungle. It's not our typical place to stay; we prefer rustic private bungalows. However, for our visit to the ruins, this seemed like the best available. After seeing other hotels there that are closer to the... more

The room was very good, it was clean and with a modern and quiet air conditioning. It is a big beautiful property with a lot of trees and open areas, they also have A new Spa . The hotel... more

As said in previous reviews, this is a hotel that works mainly with large tourist groups, so if you are looking for something more intimate and for a more personalised service this hotel won't be your cup of tea. The hotel itself is not that bad, actually is quite pretty. But the rooms are only ok (though they are clean)... more

We stayed at this hotel, set up mainly for tour groups, as part of a tour group. We were visiting the nearby quite wonderful ruins of the Mayan city of Palenque. The rooms were nice enough - one wall was painted a darkish blue which made them appear a little smaller than they were. The food was buffet style, and... more

Mision Palenque is a big hotel with old rooms and bathrooms. We had to share our dinner-table with a German tourist group and we couldn't communicate. Fortunately most of tourists only stay here for one night just to visit Palenque Archeological Site wich is the best I 've seen in Mexico. more
