Quite difficult to find as set off the road behind an old garage which is now a carwash if you follow satnav directions it takes you into nearby village of Swavesey and then tells you that you have arrived at your destination. There are easier to find and slightly better placed travelodges for visiting Cambridge.

Location lets this site down off a dual carriage way, through a disused garage, past a boarded up Little Chef. Travelodge itself is ok but a little tired. Stayed 2 nights and though staff were good the only positive was its proximity to Cambridge.

Arrive in early hours of morning, was just glad that a room was available. At £79 for a room we expected more than very basic. Room was dirty, towels were a dirty white (we assumed should be white), a musty smell to room but at 3am in the morning we were jusst glad to be able to sleep. Regularly stayed... More

The main criticism is access - it's a deathtrap. This hotel is a fatal pile up in the waiting, especially after dark in the winter. It is accessed through a disused car wash (itself a disused garage) next to a boarded up Little Chef. If you make it across the pot holes of the car wash forecourt into the car... More

Emergency stopover when en route to Cambridge but would not recommend or use again. To be fair reception person very pleasant, room very clean etc and for £30 ok for somewhere to sleep for the night. However corridors and entrance lobby smelt badly - damp or something has died and crawled under the skirting boards??, persistent background road noise from... More

People usually only write reviews if they aren't happy. The Internet is full of them. The majority of people are happy with their products/services so do nothing. So in fairness to this hotel, which I am actually in right now, I'll do my bit to be honest. We're in a family room. It has a nice view out the back... More

I recently stayed in this Travelodge and whilst functional it was basic at best. There was no issue with the cleanliness of the property nor the staff, but i was thankful that it was only a one night stay as the bed was not a patch (comfort wise) on my one at home. All in all i would stay here... More

Easy to locate , within a few miles from Cambridge town. Clean and comfortable. The reception staff are very helpful. The online help.desk sorted the wireless internet connection. Overall , I recommend it for a stay. Many thanks to the receptionist for making our stay comfortable

Stayed here for one night when going to family gathering. Room very shabby stains on the carperts very unpleasant. Bathroom was tatty, towel under the loo to soak up from a leaking pipe. Time to spend some money here. Stayed in a Days Inn last weekend much better standard of room and staff. The staff there even wear a smart... More
