Red Tractor Farm is a family run guesthouse, vineyard and cannery located very near the port town, Korissia on Kea island in Greece. The farm is a very quiet and relaxing place; hosts provide plenty of information and help to make your stay on Kea a unique Greek island experience.

Our stay at the Red Tractor Farm was a delight. We came to Kea to hike on its beautiful trails with our son who is a student in Athens. Kostis was so knowledgeable about Kea and made our hikes around the Island possible. Dicky the cat and Kostis’s dog Tibby gave our family the dose of animal companionship we needed. I cannot stress enough what a welcoming and helpful host Kostis is. We missed the acorn harvest, but left with acorn cookies, flour, and enjoyed two bottles of Kostis’s own wine. The rooms are simple and stylish. This is the best place to stay on Kea.

Planned on being there 7 days and another 5 somewhere? Once there we decided to stay the whole 12. It’s perfect. The rooms are beautifully build and surrounded by huge mature plants and sitting adjacent to olive orchards. The beach is 4 mins away and the lovely port town or Corissia with groceries, baker and fishmonger along with restaurants and bars, a 10 min stroll along the beach. Kostis the owner who also runs the lodging is awesome. Funny, big hearted and knows every spot of the island. Though very a busy man this time of year, he always finds time to chat if you need him. 10 out of 10

Spent a week here as a family of four with kids 6 and 8 years. Absolutely lovely place to visit - the rooms are comfortable and stylish and well thought out with everything you need. The location is also great-the site itself is gorgeous and is in walking distance of a lovely beach and choices for dining out/self catering in either Korissa or the more trendy yachting strip around the headland. Each had its own charm. We rented a car and this was worthwhile to get around the beautiful (and hilly!) island but if you are fit and an avid hiker you might make the sights on foot. The real heart of this place is the owners who are hospitality personified. We really appreciated the warm welcome, tips on the island and the attention to detail and care that they have poured into this very special place. As well as tips on where to visit and Kostas's very kind collection of us with our luggage, we also enjoyed the acorn harvesting that was taking place during our stay. We left with more than 1 bag of Marcie's acorn cookies-I doubt anyone who tries one resists a few bags! Kea was really well worth a visit. Plenty of places to eat, swim and relax as well as the network of hiking trails that criss cross the island. Very low key and far from the tourist crowds that descend elsewhere for the school mid term. We particularly enjoyed the hike Kostas recommended to Kathea-it was extraordinary to hike down along an old river bed to an otherwise inaccessible cove and find ourselves standing in the middle of an ancient settlement with an intact amphitheater, temple ruins and the remains of ancient baths. A very memorable experience. Lucky enough to have travelled widely and I would rate this place in the top 5 of our holidays. It is comfortable and ticks all the practical boxes but more importantly and memorably it has soul. Highly recommend it!…

Red Tractor Farm is a very special place. Tucked far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Korissia harbour to be utterly tranquil (only the sound of cicadas to fill your ears), yet within an easy walk of several beaches and loads of great restaurants and cafes, the location is pretty much perfect. We stayed in one of the little Vine doubles in the Vineyard Guesthouse, which was teeny but suited us perfectly. It was spotlessly clean, and cleaned immaculately every day (we stayed a week and the bed linen and towels were changed midway through). Air conditioning worked well, although at this time of year we didn't need it the whole time. There were no cooking facilities, but there was a kettle, a coffee maker, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery and (importantly) a corkscrew and wine glasses! There was also a fridge, so you could manage to put together a meal of salads and cold meats etc if you were going to eat in or make a picnic. The room has been cleverly designed to make the best use of space, so there is plenty of storage for clothes and cases, although I'm not sure how it would work if it was cold and you wanted to eat/stay inside. There's a wonderful private outdoor seating area, but nowhere to sit and eat indoors. The grounds are beautiful: olive trees, grape vines, fig trees, prickly pears, aromatic herbs and native flowers. Kostis and Marcie run a little shop full of their own delicious produce, and both of them are fascinating to talk to when it comes to Marcie's acorn flour production and Kostis's wine (both of which are excellent). We'd come back and stay in a heartbeat.…

We decided on a whim to return to the peaceful island of Kea. On our last visit 4 years ago we stayed at red tractor farm and loved it. We tried booking in advance online but all the websites said it was full. As it is only a few minutes from Korissia the port, we dropped in hoping they might have a cancellation only to find to our surprise that only one cottage was occupied ! So,happily, we had a peaceful and enjoyable five days. A word of warning, if you would like to enqire about booking go directly to the Red Tractor website, all the websites stated that they were full for some strange reason.. The bedding is very comfortable, mosquito screens on all the windows and doors so, in the spring, you can wake to the perfume of jasmine, honeysuckle lavander and roses... a cleaner comes every day and changes sheets and towels every 3 days. Swimming towels are provided. We spent hours sitting on our balcony overlooking the olive grove and vineyard reading and writing and enjoying the peace and quiet. There is a lovely little bay with azure clear water and a small beach within walking distance, there is also a very good taverna there, right at the waters edge. Kostis the owner looked after our every need...if you are interested in gardens, speak to him, he is a font of knowledge ! There are lots of tavernas in the harbour and two bakeries, a butchers and a supermarket. Fish you can buy directly from the fishing boats when they come in, in the mornings. Red tractor farm really is a haven and comes highly recommended.…

My husband, step-daughters (18 and 20 years of age) and I felt "on vacation" and at ease at Red Tractor Farm almost immediately during our stay March 11 - 18, 2019. Honeysuckle and rosemary scents in the air, sky and vineyard views, wildflowers all over, cozy beds, hot showers and a bottle of Red Tractor Farm wine (red of course) welcomed us to Kea. So did our host who loves his home and knows details about the archaeology of the island. Kostis suggested hikes, points of interest and restaurants. He also met us at the ferry making our transition to Kea and car rental quick and easy. For us the Stone Cottage was perfect. The loft space separate enough for our grown-up children and the space below a wonderful nook for my husband and me. Beds were gratefully VERY comfortable. Roomy living area with a fireplace, plenty of dry wood, balcony for dinners together during sunsets. Kitchen is functional and we appreciated the chance to make our own meals and pack lunches for hiking a few times during our week long stay. The area is quiet and walking distance to the small port town of Korissia (grocery store, ferry, restaurants, beaches, car rental.)…

The two-storey cottages are located in an unusually green backdrop of a variety of trees and bushes in a big farm away from the hustle of the main road but close enough to reach the beach in less than 5 minutes and the harbour with its shops and restaurants in less than 15 minutes on foot. Our room was in the Vineyard Cottage and consisted of the basics. Decoration was inexistent, but bedroom was spacious and comfortable (though one bed was jammed in the corner and had no nightstand), bathroom with shower was functional, and there was also a sort of kitchenette with a sink, an electric kettle, plates and cutlery at the room entrance. Only drawback: fridge was so noisy we had to unplug it every night before going to bed. Every room has a private shaded terrace with a sturdy table, chairs and a stone bench, the ideal place to have breakfast, an afternoon coffee or an evening drink or just sit, read, relax and contemplate the landscape. WiFi is free but doesn't work flawlessly. Connection was problematic, especially in the afternoons. The products sold at the entrance are mainly the unique and yummy acorn cookies made by the owners, ointment made of olive oil and St. John's wort, home made marmalades, pickled caper leaves etc. They might not be cheap, but still, they show involvement and respect towards the local economy, which sadly seems to be a rarity on the island these days. P.S. If you have a pet, then this is the best place imaginable. The owners themselves have two dogs and welcome any friendly pet to run around in their estate provided it doesn't disturb other guests.…

I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at Kostis and Marcy's Red Tractor Farm. I am still amazed by the hospitality and generous wealth of Kea/Cyclades knowledge and travel tips that Kostis and Marcy shared. The rooms are perfect for a solo traveler, couple or family. They are cool, clean and the beds are so comfortable. You can make a nice home for yourself for as long as you are staying there. Kostis knows the ins and outs of Kea and can direct perfectly to beaches that will blow your mind, the best lamb gyro I had in Greece, and he has great travel advice to give you on nearby islands. The location is perfect, fabulous beaches and restaurants are all within walking distance. Marcy and Kostis are kind and thoughtful, I felt so well taken care of. THANK YOU. I will be back soon I have sadly run out of chocolate chip acorn flour cookies.…
