This design hotel is a wonderful place but the property is maintained poorly in some areas (SPA center and a LUX room) - an unfunctional shower in the SPA area, impossible to lock the female bathroom door in the changing room of the spa, a holder of a shower head broken in the men's shower in the SPA area etc. The low temperature of water in the pool and jacuzzi. We loved the service, the staff was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It would be wonderful to have a tea/coffee facility in the room since breakfast is served only at 9:00, there is no other opportunity to buy coffee in the early hours. The high price you pay is not adequate for what you get.

A nice place to go and spend time in the middle of nowhere. Modern design, good spa area, very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, even if you book your reservation 2 days before, it is not possible to sign up for spa procedures: it is obliged to sign up for procedures at least a week before! This was the reason I rated it 4 out of 5. The restaurant is excellent, but it comes together with a high-priced menu. It is made to enjoy the great nuanses of the tasty food the chef offers. They offer a surprisingly wide wine list as well. Although this place is quite expensive, I got a very positive feeling about the time we spent there.

The location is very beautiful. The hotel was an old barn or something turned into hotel/spa which is nice. However, wouldn't call this a "design hotel". The spa was nice - a nicely smelling steam room, hot sauna, swimming pool and hot tub. However is the silent room there was a storage room installed (why though??). About the restaurant. I completely understand the thing about the modern restaurants- the more you pay, the less you get. However, here the portions were extremely small and even after finishing 3 course meal we felt so hungry. Especially when you've spent some time in water activities. But what made me a bit angry was the fact that the waiter refused to bring extra bread, even if we had to pay for it. She said it's just not possible. Also, they should really think about room service, at least make it possible to buy some water in the middle of the night. So, I would suggest to come prepared with your own snacks after spa (so you don't have to starve after your fancy restaurant experience) and water. All in all, the price for what you get.. just average.

So, hotel location is kind of in the middle of nowhere. I assume the main building is an old manor house but I'm impressed by the courage to open up a spa hotel so far from main roads and cities. However, having been there now I can say its worth the drive there even if the last 10-20 km is on some small gravel roads. The rooms are nicely designed, the view of the small park on the backside made you feel like you are sleeping among the trees. Might not be so child friendly if you have a room with a narrow spiral staircase, but otherwise this place is very child friendly with lots of areas to play in. The Spa was great, both the common areas and the massage treatments. If you go, don't miss the chance of getting a great massage for a good price. Lastly, the food. Dinner was simply amazing but also here you need to wind down and relax because it takes time to get the great food from the menu onto your plates. Be prepared to eat and talk, this is no fast food restaurant. Breakfast was not your common hotel buffet. Instead you could enjoy a small but exquisite buffet which clearly had been prepared with a lot of care for the guests. Overall, we had a great stay. Yes, its a bit pricey compared to Latvia in general, but in this case it was worth it. Go here, enjoy the silence and relax.

We spent one summer weekend at Annas Hotel. The location is definitely off the beaten tracks (you have to drive on unpaved roads for over 20 km). Once you arrive, the place is really beautiful. If you love nature, you will enjoy the peace and tranquility between pine trees and lakes. Nothing much to do if not relaxing and enjoining the outdoors. The hotel itself is nice, modern and clean, although I would not classify it as a "design hotel". 200 euro per night, in Latvia and in the middle of nowhere is a bit pricey IMHO (for the basic room). The dinner experience was also interesting: food was delicious and prepared with undoubtedly fresh and local ingredients. We had the best home made bread we ever tried but.... - portions were ridiculously tiny, we left the table still hungry - we asked more bread, but was finished - we ordered the same main course, but only one portion was available - we ordered the same dessert, again only one available - we ordered a 2007 vintage, they brought us a 2015, claiming there was no difference. we changed wine, 2009 vintage, again they proposed same wine but 2016. The third attempt (2012) was the good one. - as for the rooms, the dinner felt very pricey for the amount of food we had To summarize: this could be a top recommended place if was not so pricey. Value for money is just average.

Perfect place for a peaceful relax. Small ans stylish hotel. Nice pool and spa. Very good massage service, definately use the procedures offered. The restaurant is excellent. The chef is genius. The breakfast was also nice, something different from the usual hotel offer. I would suggest it for couples, not family with kids, although kids are also welcome there. Will definately go there again.

Visited the Annas Hotel looking for the place to take the lunch with friends. The food was good, but service was really poor, we spend more than 1 hour for our meal. Otherwise the place is really good to spend longer time.

so, stayed there for two nights. fully enjoyed stay, room was nice, warm and bed was excellent. bath in room is something you must enjoy :) totally recommend to use spa offer for massage or body treatment in general. restaurant food was delicious, and if not mistaken, then they grow some of the food at the place, so you know that it is fresh and tasty. Surrounding is quite as it should be in landside. there is option to go to swim on nearby lake, of course if you dont mind to swim in natural lake :) Stuff was friendful and helpful, have no complaints at all. Hotel should consider to offer cooks baked bred to at breakfast, as this was what i expected to have. I would recommend this hotel if you would like to enjoy peace, quite and excellent spa procedures.

Restaurant and hotel was very good (especially restaurant), except there was some disappointments: - work only sauna and pool in spa area (no baths, no jacuzzi) - hotel was cold (visited in December). - first time in my life stayed in hotel which did congratulate guest on birthday (small thing, but it would be nice to have that kind of service).

Me and my husband stayed here for two nights for a romantic getaway. The interior is very nice, very clean and spacious rooms, great scenery around, stuff to do as well, you can also spend half of the day in the spa area, which is included in the price. The restaurant has excellent food. The only negative thing is that the sound insulation is not too great like in many other hotels. For us it was an isue during our second night, as some guets with a newborn moved in next to us. We could hear the baby really well. So as long as you don't have loud neighbours, the place is perfect.
