Stayed 2 nights in a 2 room apartment. Nice deco, cozy, clean, bed is soft and comfortable. Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Location is convenient, supermarket and restaurants are just across the road. About 5 mins drive to the Old Bus Depot Sunday Market (one of my favourite) and 5-10mins drive to Manuka. Only drawback is no washing machine and dryer in... more

Pros * nice furniture and modern looking apartment * kitchen amenities * internet connection that goes to a MB rate after 50 MBs * comfortable beds * restaurant on premises (very good coffee!) * location (downtown and quiet) * free parking * friendly receptionists * patio area Cons ** charged a 1 night fee for changing reservation and leaving early... more

So, don't stay in this hotel if you want, you know... a hotel. It isn't a hotel, it's an all suites motel. Want your bags taken to your room (up three flights of stairs -- there is no lift)? Nope. Want them taken down again? Nope. Want the internet? It's the most expensive and the worst I've ever come across.... more

Stayed here quite some years ago. And it was good then. Now it appears to have had a recent refurb and it's really good. It's even better than it was. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment, really spacious as always, nicely equipped full kitchen, new bed and other nice large screen high-def TV. The furniture was all new, and so... more

I had a trip planned to Canberra and wanted to stay in the Kingston area. I booked a one-bedroom apartment for three nights, however upon arrival we were given a two-bedroom. The rooms are very modern, newly rennovated & very very clean. We constantly saw cleaning ladies servicing rooms all day. We had a plasma in the main bedroom in... more

We stayed in the Griffin for two nights at the end of a four day stay. Given what other reviewers has said, it appears that we were lucky on the room front, as it appeared to be brand new with some nice mod cons (lcd tv in the master bedroom, good sized plasma in the main room, well-equipped kitchen). We... more

Good location right across the road from all the Kingston shops, restaurants and supermarket. Ten minute walk from Manuka restaurants, McDonalds and Coles supermarket which is open 24h. Underground parking. Clean. Serviced daily. Kitchen just fine though could use just a few more plates, bowls etc. than were provided. TV channel selection extremely poor and - in our apt. at... more

The Griffin Apartments are absolutely fantastic. Clean, modern, and large. My one-bedder came with a lounge, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen. There were 2 TVs, a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven. The apartment was only about $130 a night (on a corporate rate). On the minus side ... the gym was under-equipped, parking was awkward (had to bring my car out of the... more

The gym at the Griffin Hotel has the most limited cardio equipment I have ever seen at a hotel gym. It is also poorly lit and has no TV. The rooms in our apartment all have very dim lighting and dirty carpet, although I believe they are in the process of changing the carpet at the hotel. The biggest problem... more

The Griffin is showing its age and in need of refurbishment. Still, the excellent location, beautiful garden, and the friendly staff made it a wonderful place for us to stay as long-term residents for nine weeks. We booked our two-bedroom apartment through our corporate travel agent so we paid far less (AU$ 145/night) than the rack rate which I see... more
