3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2013 NEW

The room was a reasonable size and very clean. The location is quiet and you definitely need a car if you stay here. There is ample parking but it is not undercover. There are signs almost everywhere which detracts from the appearance of the room. The room was too cold on our first night and the free internet was very... More

We refer to your review. Our diligent and professional receptionist, Chantelle, advises that she offered to move you to another room, but you would not allow her/the housekeepers to move your effects, informing her that you were only returning to the hotel at 6 pm. Obviously that gave us no opportunity to sell the room. Accordingly, we offered you a... More

The rooms are quite small and the VERY hard bed seemed to be a double not queen as advertised. We stayed for only one night...we paid only $115 as a last minute deal so for that price there is no complaint ...it was reasonable. Room was very quiet - no noise from traffic or other rooms. You need a car..it... More

We refer to your review. We do not have double beds in this property. Your bed was a Queen-size bed. Unfortunately some guests enjoy a firm mattress and others a yielding mattress. Your bed was brand new. We have elected to install beds in all guest rooms which are standard fare in this country - to paraphrase the fairy tale,... More

The Best Western Tall Trees was a perfectly nice hotel for a one night stop on a month-long road trip. It's in a residential neighborhood, which seems a little strange, but it's a fast drive to food and shopping. This may not be the best location to stay if you do not have a car. The room was clean, newly... More

On arrival I was quoted a price of $150 per night. On querying this price compared to the quoted internet price of $140 the receptionist agreed to reduce the cost by $5. When I attempted to turn on the jug to make a cup of tea sparks flew from the damaged cord and short circuited the room necessitating a move.... More

We refer to your review. We note that you stayed in an over-sized executive room, which has been totally renovated. Moreover, the pillow-top beds are brand new. So we do not understand your comment that it is an old and tired motel. We have spent a significant sum of money both expanding the property, and renovating every room. The kettle... More

The Hotel is a Motel too far from the CBD to walk without a car. Rooms were quite basic from what you might expect in Canberra. Disappointed by the breakfast room and choices. Its OK for the money and with a car.

Location appears to be lost in the midst of suburbia yet is very close to all the sights. Close to a major restaurant precinct with easy access. Clean modern adequately furnished (with all the usual amenities and facilities) room with spacious ensuite - all newly refurbished. Efficient and courteous check-in/out. Value for money and worthwhile. Will certainly stay there again... More

We booked a queen room with a cot for our 7 month old daughter. When we rang to confirm the booking we were told that there would be more room in the queen room than the family room. If this is the case then the family room must be tiny as there was very little room in the queen room.... More

Thank you for your review. We cannot trace your reservation, but it appears that you stayed in one of our standard rooms. The family rooms are at a different price point and can accommodate up to 6 people. Because they are also fully furnished with table and chairs, there is not a lot of floor space for a crib. That... This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rate is very competitive at $155 for a family room , queen bed an two double bunks. Adequately sized room, nice and clean, tidy bathroom if a little on the small side. Would definitely stay again.

For a capital city it was economical with 3 adults in 3 beds! Clean, well presented. did not have all the extra add ons but when we were busy everyday & needed somewhere warm to recharge for the next days outing. Stayed 3 nights & was happy

It is often difficult to find a motel/hotel that will accommodate your family if you have more than one or two children, that is under $200 a night, and is suitable for your familty to stay - that is not a backpackers! This had it all for us - two sets of bunk beds and a queen size bed for... More
