The room I stayed in was nice, clean, and spacious. Yes, it is in the middle of the notorious Kings Cross entertainment district, but noise and drunken violence wasn't really much of disturbance, especially on a Saturday night (considering I was on the 5th floor). The advantage about this hotel, however, is its convenient to many shops and restaurants, not... More

Stayed 3 nights in April. We had a room with an excellent view of the harbour bridge & the opera house which was a bonus. Room was clean enough, apart from the mould in the bathroom. We found the service in the bar and restaurant to be excellent. Very easy to get around with the train station next door. This... More

The review says it all, the place was across the road from the train station at Kings Cross. The service was great. Only thing to mention more gluten free options for breakfast please. The room was spacious, and very clean. Considering you were in the middle of the Cross, the noise level was minimal. They even had a charger for... More

Forget the stigma of location (Potts Point = Kings Cross). It's right above the rail station, making it perfect to access CBD or other rail locations from North Shore and beyond. I found it more convenient to get to Martin Place than the short walk from Sofitel (but saving $100/night for similar scale accomodation). Give it a try !

As many recent reviews suggest, Mercure Potts Point, really is in Kings Cross. And yes, it is noisy and it is not modern and new, but we loved it based on location to places we needed to go. As you walk out the front door K Cross station is directly opposite. Bondi Junction is two stops away. On this same... More

Well located hotel with easy access to all parts of the central city Sydney and with elegant views. But do not expect glamorous accommodation. Rather dilapidated rooms and furniture, all in great need of modernising. Expensive and slow internet services. Head out to the surrounding area even for a cheaper and more sophisticated breakfast that the hotel provides.

This hotel is not what the foyer would have you believe. Recently stayed on the 13th floor and the rooms could only be described as 3star. The bed was a queen however the dooner was single, the security flased all night and if you were game enough to turn on the A/C the light lit up the room as well... More

The location was great, except the car park needs to pay! We stayed here for 3 nights, close to everything & the COLES Supermarket is just opposite the hotel! Lots of restaurants & shops around Kings Cross area. The hotel is very clean & the room is very big. We had a great time staying in this hotel.

Stayed here for a work conference and it was a nice stay. Room was good, ambience great and in a good location. Just note it's really in Kings Cross, not Potts Point. The first morning we had breakfast at the hotel and it was a waste of money. Typical Australian hotel breakfast. The second morning we went around the corner... More
