We stayed to go to a concert which was very handy. It's close to china town and darling harbour etc. we stayed in the older part of the building. The halls didn't smell very pleasant at all but room was comfortable. A little old and small and the beds had a pillow mattress protector on top of the mattress which... More

This hotels best feature is its location. Easy walking to city centre, china town and darling harbour. The rooms are nice enough no wow factor thought. They are clean and very comfortable. It can be at times when things are on n sydney a bit expensive for what it is.

Well priced by Sydney standards the hotel is within walking distance to Paddys Market, Powerhouse Museum, Chinatown, Chinese Garden of Friendship, Darling Harbour and a few minutes to Sydney Central Station. Rooms are comfortable and fine for a short stay. The hotel needs to do some TLC with the breakfast offered in the restaurant. It was cold and not edible.... More

The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The bed was comfortable and the pillows marked soft and firm is a nice touch. Check out took a long time plus several errors on the bill. Apart from that the service was good.

We recently stayed for ATE and choose the Holiday Inn for convenience to convention centre & China Town. Rooms are very tired and over priced for what they are. People above our rooms where very noisy. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Having China Town so close by was a bonus.

I had no complaints about this place, but then I can't remember all that much about it without trying really hard. The bad news is I only stayed last week. That's the kind of place it is. Average, run of the mill, no more no less type of accommodation. There was nothing particularly outstanding or memorable, and that is probably... More

I recently stayed here for convenient proximity to the Sydney Convention Centre (the Australian Tourism Exchange was on and I was representing the JPT Tour Group and showcasing day tours in southeast Queensland). Stayed here for the 3rd or 4th time - first started staying here when the major banks moved their head-offices from the city centre to Darling Harbour, which makes the HI very convenient. The rooms are large and clean, it is conveniently situated for China Town and the entertainment hotspots of Darling Harbour. I have noticed that the restaurant/bar has... More

Not a bad hotel, pretty standard. Nothing too exciting but it has everything you need. Stayed on 10th floor in a superior room. Room was nice, bathroom was a bit dated looking. Location is good enough. Should really be called Holiday Inn Chinatown as it is right next to it. It's about a 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour itself.... More

I stayed here for 4 days for business. I must say that it's main attraction is the fact it is so close to everything, which is within walking distance.
