My experience didnt start well when the person on Reception (whom I later found out was the Manager!!!) continued to talk on a personal phone call as I waited to check in. I entered the room and the bed was not made there was still rubbish around the bedside table and the bathroom was not clean!! I had to go... more

I was expecting a quality boutique hotel - given the reasonably upmarket price. On arrival i saw that the standard rooms are your average 3 star hotels - adequate but nothing nice. Upgrade to a top floor, better appointed room was available for an extra $30. When you are paying $200 already, it was worth it. Or seemed to be....... more

Travelled here with my boyfriend and friends for Mardi Gras 2009. This hotel was the perfect place to stay. It's near a number of nice cafes and bars and is within easy walking distance of Oxford Street and Sydney's main gay bars. It's also close to a train station that's within a couple of stops from Circular Quay with the... more

The worst thing about this stay was the service. The 2 men at reception were disinterested and unfriendly. When I arrived they kept talking to each other and ignored me. When I left one fo the guys managed to go through the entire check out process without making eye contact. Didn't even bother to say goodbye. The hotel was listed... more

I was extremely disappointed when I checked into this Hotel ... Boutique ... it is not, I thought I had checked in to the wrong hotel. However, despite what I am about to write - as a place to lay your head - its fine, fairly good price, relatively clean. I could have checked out, but decided to weather it... more

The website makes this property appear to be a boutique hotel, but be warned, a lot of those photos are taken in public areas. Our balcony room was nothing like these pictures. On our arrival we were asked to pay for our entire 4 night stay before we were given a key - that should have been enough to start... more

Having just returned from a world trip, the morgan hotel was one of the worst we stayed in , the hotel is in need of a good clean and an update. We had a load of bags and cases and nobody helped us up the steps to the hotel, after we booked in we entered the small smelly threadbare lift... more

From the moment my partner and I arrived at Morgans in Sydney, we were so glad we had chosen this hotel. The food was to die for, such a healthy and creative menu, and the location and service were spot on. We were looking for a stylish and funky boutique hotel as a central base for sightseeing, and that is... more

We selected this hotel on the basis of a few good reviews and its well-designed website, which made it look like an attractive boutique hotel. It wasn't. The room itself was adequate but not in great condition (in particular the bathroom needed a lot of modernisation) and it was rather noisy - we could hear everything from the adjacent room.... more

Thanks to a colleague, we were able to negotiate a "deal" with this property which influenced our decision greatly on staying here. Although there's absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel, you should bear in mind that it's in one of the seedier areas of Sydney. If you've never been to an area of a city where you are hassled for... more
