A well placed hotel for the City, Markets, transport, China Town, Darling Harbour and the footie and cricket. Quite a safe spot if you move about at normal hours. Good car parking right beside. Has a good restaurant - nothing flash - but good food. A bar and lovely foyer area. Easy walk to the main shopping area of Sydney... More

Travelled to Sydney for work and stayed the weekend. Excellent location to Chinaown - walking distance. Rooms spacious with generous lounge, coffee table and decent sized table for tea/coffee as well as writing desk. Staff were pleasant and efficient. More

We have stayed at this property 6 times over the last 4 years. Citgate has slowly gone downhill the busier it has become. We have never questioned a bill or had reason to until our last stay. When we arrived we were told the room rate which we had booked was 20% higher than quoted. We paid and got on... More

Stayed here with my partner to attend a friends birthday celebration. We caught the train from Newcastle and the hotel is very close to central train station so we walked. Check in was smooth and quick. I had booked over the phone through the Mirvac reservation line and the lady who served me was very patient and gave prices for... More

I stayed at the hotel for a week on business. It's in a good location to the south of the CBD, close to Central Station, Paddy's Markets and Chinatown, so there's plenty of restaurants and shops around the area. It's a bit of a walk to Darking Harbour, and further still to Pitt St Mall and Circular Quay. Sydney is... More

My mother and I booked this hotel as a Wotif mystery deal for $140/pn for a twin room for our short trip to Sydney. Upon check-in/check-out the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional, which made for a nice stay. Our room on the 9th floor was well appointed, spacious and maintained to a good standard - beds were large... More

This is a good value for money hotel, for the Centre of Sydney in a handy location to Darling Harbour and China Town and the theatre district. We have been here twice as a family, the first time experiencing a restless night as the neighbours were partying with loud music all night. We contacted Security several times and they managed... Excellent location, just a short walk from central station. On arrival was greeted and taken care of immediatly by the friendly staff. The room was nicely decorated and quite modern. The pool was a bonus as I was with my children, who really enjoyed it. It was clean and there were towels provided in the pool area. The hotel is... More

We got a good deal on Wotif- 2 dbl beds and parking. No onsite parking - it is next door in public parking block- $23 for 24hrs of parking. Rooms have been redecorated BUT bathrooms still in 60s-70s era. We had to close our curtains as our room window was almost within touching proximity to apartment balconies across the road!... More
