Stayed at the Marque Hotel for one night booking on Wotif for $99 per night. Stayed in a renovated room with huge king bed, large TV screen and great shower , all very comfortable. They stored my luggage until the room was ready and also on departure. The reception area is new and I found the staff to be fine.... more

I knew going in this hotel was having some work done, and I wasn't expecting a lot. However, I did expect the staff to be at least civial to me. On my arrival, my room wasn't ready, no big deal, I (nicely) asked if there was a bathroom I could use to change - and was directed to a shared... more

The ground floor renovations were noisy at 7.30am even on the 4th floor. They moved us the next night to the 9th floor - a grotty, shabby room with many, many issues. Honi, guy on reception, was surly, unhelpful and completely ignored our request to move again. Marco, another receptionist we spoke to later, deserves to run the hotel. He... more

Booked a twin room on Travelocity for 90 USD. When we got there, we were able to upgrade to a *renovated* queen room for 60 AUD more. (This upgrade rate actually dropped to 40 AUD the next day; shrug.) The renovated room was nice and clean, with the patina of modernity. Not a true built-from-the-ground-up boutique hotel room, but still... more

have stayed at the Marque formerly ( country comfort ) on several occasions, and found it both affordable & very easy to trip around Sydney from, being close to central stn, china town, monorail etc was undergoing refurbishments whilst there, which created a bit of a mess in the lifts etc, from tradesmen's rubble, also could have been a little... more

I booked this hotel via the hotel web site for a 4 night stay prior to returning to the UK, there was no mention that the hotel was been renovation or that there would be any noise from building work. We stop in one of the newly renovated rooms on the 12 floor, which was very good, and would have... more

First of all, the positives. I found the staff to be extremely helpful. Although I did not book through the Marque website (using a last minute style booking website), they happily accommodated my request for a high floor/nice view (top floor, view over Central Station) - and managed to continue this throughout my booking (I booked all three nights in... more

This is my favorite hotel in Sydney. The bed and breakfast option for around $160 a night is excellent value. I like the rooms next to the lift, in terms of miniming noise. 1101 1001 901 etc. Once I had some trouble with stuff working in the room, but it was fixed real fast. It is near China town which... more

I recently stayed at the newly renamed Marque Hotel (formerly Country Comfort) for the main reason that it was "cheap and handy". For Sydney accommodation in a good location, my $112 p.n. in a double room was excellent. The room itself was quite comfortable and the bathroom was clean and a good size. It was somewhat dated (they say they... more

This hotel was fine but the staff were a little snooty and the location was great for the central train station but not so great for most of the tourist attractions. more
