The good the location is v good, opposite the museum of Sydney and a block from circular quay. The views, a long as you are high enough, are great. It's clean The staff are very friendly and helpful. Beds are very comfortable. The bad The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, are looking a bit tired. The breakfast is hideously expensive and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and please accept my apologies for the towels not being replaced. Normally it is a standard if the towels are placed on the floor or in the bath tub they are automatically replaced with fresh towels. With regards to bed linen change, there is a card which you only need... More

Just come back from Sydney and stayed at this hotel - a little bit pricey but very convenient for all Sydney's sights and transport around the city either by bus or by ferry. Great views if you have the right room. More

We recently visited Sydney for the first time and chose Intercontinental Hotel. This hotel is amazing. Fantastic location one block from Opera House, Botanical Gardens and waterside! Great rooms and fantastic harbor view rooms. service was excellent and the breakfast included in our rate was the best continental breakfast we have had by a hotel. Much better location and views... While this hotel is a bit further away from the main shopping strip of central Sydney - as opposed to say the Sheraton on the Park or the Westin - it is right on the doorstep of the harbour, the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and Sydney's excellent ferry services. As you would expect, excellent modern rooms, good service and... More

If you choose this hotel, make sure to book a 'Club room' you will not be disappointed. We had 2 hours 5-7pm of canopes & drinks, overlooking one of the most gorgeous cities in the world! Being that they are included I thought they might be a little slow, however this was not the case, and the staff were lovely... More

Steps to Circular Quay and the ferries, the Opera House and its wonderful promenade of outdoor restaurants, the Domain and the Botanical Gardens. The view from the pool over Sydney Harbor was excellent. We were there a few days prior to the annual New Year's Eve fireworks extravaganza and regretted we had planned differently our itinerary. Restaurant meals were ostentatious... More

What a shame you were unable to stay with us for New Years Eve celebrations. However, it is pleasing to know that you did have a great stay with us. I am wondering if maybe you accessed the hotel by our driveway rather than the main entrance which is on the corner of Bridge and Phillip streets and does pose... More

One cannot pick a better location than this hotel. We booked Club rooms from the road on iphone and was upgraded the first nite to a suite. Wow was it fantastic! a corner living room and separate bedroom but since the rate was 1800 a nite, I had not booked it. Instead I choose the regular club room and was... More

I booked a club room. Among the 5 star hotel chains I would rate it as OK. The beds are not overly comfortable and no match for those at Sheraton or Westin. Service in the club was deplorable. It took more than 15 minutes after I was seated at breakfast to be offered tea or coffee. They managed to stuff... More

Great rooms and service. We preferred this over the Four Seasons as it had a pool. Also we had stayed at the Shangri-La a week prior and found it out of the way and difficult to walk to . This is a great hotel with easy walking to lists of sites around Sydney More
