Booked into Metro on King and ended up sent across the road to the Kingsley. 1st room too noisy, disgusting carpets and furniture. Ceiling in bathroom falling down. Complained and was advised by staff that we were moving to the Manager's "favourite room in the hotel". Ha Ha Room 901 was quieter but equally dirty. Rotting wood step in bathroom... more

What a great location Just cross at the lights out the front of the apartments and across a foot bridge to the aquarium at Darling Harbour. Receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful - even our arrival with young son in urgent need of a bathroom was met with genuine warmth. The room we had was tired but well appointed for... more

We were initially booked into level 2 right by the traffic intersection. Could not sleep a wink due to noise . Were move to level 4 and was just tolerable. Windows do not keep out noise like other hotels. Carpet grubby and doors missing from cupboards in kitchen. Only thing going for it is closeness to Darling Harbour and CBD. more

My husband & I enjoyed a 2 night stay on th 6th floor in Sussex Street venue. Wonderful view & facilities. Comfortable bed & air conditioning. Walking distance to Pitt Street Mall, Darling Harbour & Chinatown or catch the Monorail. We chose to purchase a day pass and board at the Harbourside stop - located on the other side of... more

I booked this apartment through bid4rooms and got a reasonable price. I then looked up tripadvisor comments and didn't like what I saw. Anyway my partner and I thought we would give it a try. Our booking in was done very efficiently. This is an older style 3 star apartment complex but quiet adequate for our Australia day overnight stay.... more

I stayed at Metro for 2 weeks while doing a course in Sydney city. it is very old and susequently looks quite grotty (carpets, laundry etc) but it was actually very clean. I was on the 6th floor and had no problems sleeping (luckily i am an early riser as the jackhammers started around 7am, they are building a cycle... more

Stayed at Metro Appartments for 4 nights Sept 2008. This establishment is spread over two buildings, the main building with Reception on the corner of King and Sussex, and a second building across the road in King St. We were checked into an appartment in the King St building on the 1st floor. I think this must be the noisiest... more

Myself and my cousin stayed for 4 nights in May. On arrival we had to carry our heavy cases up the steps to reception. We both have mobility problems. There where many people waiting to cross the street and 1 lady helped us to carry our luggage. We thanked her and she said we are all people. I hope she... more

Metro Apartments offers one bedroom apartments in two buildings, opposite each other. We spent three nights in the King Street property. I had read reviews about excessive noise and requested a high floor. Unfortunately that meant catching the lift to the 8th floor, then dragging our child and pram up two flights of stairs to the 9th floor! Apartment 901... more

I had the misfortune to spend a night in this accommodation last week. The rooms was very tired, looked like it was from the 70's. The sheets were dirty and the bathrooms were disgusting, with old grime and hairs everywhere. The rooms are also very noisey, with trafiic and revellers. I would not recommend the Metro apartments to anyone and... more
