A poor hotel. Rude staff. No facilities to speak of. I left a package to be delivered to a colleague's room and it was never seen again. Rock hard bed, lurid coloured room. Great location though. So forget about the hotel and wander down the quay for a beer or two. more

The hotel has a convenient location but it ends there. Concierge were not too helpful getting us a taxi...which was took ages to arrive even if you book in advance. The room was nice but the beds were too soft it was so uncomfortable. You will not get a good night's sleep here. more

We arrived at the Novotel around 4pm and were promptly checked in. The decor in the lobby gave a good indication as to what we could expect in the rest of the hotel. This place in need of a major overhaul as it is somewhat tired looking and very dark. The room was adequate and the view was spectacular, which... more

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was a great start to our holiday. The hotel is located directly on Darling Harbour. We had a harbour view room, and it’s so worth paying the extra to have this, the view is stunning. We arrived at 7am in the morning, and our room was ready for us... that... more

If location and convenience were the sole criteria for choosing a Sydney hotel, then the Novotel would do well given Darling Harbour's proximity to the CBD, shops, Circular Quay and other main attractions (the monorail passes in front of the hotel and the ferry service is a short walk away). Otherwise, without anything being truly awful, the public areas seem... more

We wanted a lightening quick stopover in Sydney for just two nights to take a quick look at the city. Crammed in a couple of ferry rides, a trip round QVB and a journey to the top of the tower. All in all a beautiful view of the harbour from our room overlooking the harbour, room only. Restaurants in front... more

Reasonable price for location. Rooms nice (views at back of hotel poor) Bed good. Clean. Pool area a waste of time Good location on doorstep of Darling Harbour. Food places around Harbour not great food and expensive (world city). Nothing special but no problems. Trip to Manly on ferry lovely. Manly beach nice. Opera House a good trek from hotel. more

Stayed at the Hotel last week, as attending a conference at the Convention centre. Fantastic location for the convention centre, undercover 5 minute walk away. Also excellent if wanting to go to the City via Monorail or Central train station via light rail, both directly outside the hotel. Rooms were expensive but well appointed, and as per a previous review... more

We've just returned from an overnight stay at The Novotel Darling Harbour. We stayed with our 2 young children in a deluxe harbour view room. Rooms have been refurbished and are very light and comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed with fantastic views. You are truly paying for the excellent location and outlook. The room was a semi... more
