Dated interior, hot noisy room, it's like a bad dream which you have to pay for. I wouildn't stay there again if the room were given to me free! more

Arrived in Sydney looking for a room the same night, before possibly the busiest weekend of the year - Australia Day weekend. Enquired at one of the tourist information offices who managed to find a double room in this place for me for a reasonable price, so booked without knowing what to expect. Found just what I was looking for.... more

Do not believe the brochure or website pictures! The hotel has since admitted that "newly renovated" advertised in both has not happened and has been postponed until end of 2009. Although we and some friends booked 2 deluxe rooms, the ones we were given certainly were not. The rooms were smelly, dirty and hardly a 3* (as advertised). There was... more

Hotel is located in Chinatown, which is colourful but hardly the location that the hotel boasts on its website. Reception staff are lovely, although serve under a supervisor who is inept and borderline rude in her manufatured responses to, it seems, almost constant guest complaints about the hideous rooms. I liked: "this is a heritage building, so renovations have to... more

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for one night only and we would never stay there again. The room we we’re allocated was in the corner of level 2. The room was very dusty and smelt like it had not been aired and thoroughly vacuumed for years. I’m sure there was so much dust in the carpet because... more

Some of the more negative reviews are unfair given the cheap accommodation this hotel offers in a prized location close to Sydney Terminal (Central) railway station. Yes, our room was poky. Yes, we could really only get onto the double bed from one side. However, we slept well and there were no noise problems. Being midweek, the hotel did not... more

I always wanted to go to Sydney. I got a very good last minute deal that I had to jump on. With no time to plan very well, I found an Australian based website for hotel accommodations. I found the Aaron hotel and used a website based map to make sure it was in the central area of Sydney. The... more

The mainstay brilliance of Aarons is its location. Right in the middle of Chinatown, has quick access to all the CBD attractions, restaurants, public transport and is within walking distance to amenities. For the price, you can't get anything better outside of a backpackers hostel. Unfortunately, that's where most of the advantages end. Aarons tends to pride itself on its... more

What can I say about aaron's hotel...? When we tried to check in, the reception staff couldn't find our booking and didn't seem to understand English too well, we repeated our booking name several times until someone more senior came in and saved the day.... ...On the plus side the room was ready early for us, we were supposed to... more
